What could you possibly hope to achieve by that? No these files are all speaking. No music in them of any type. But man are they good stuff I'd love to be able to put in print. |

I've used Noteworthy Composer in the past with limited abilities. I believe you can print but you can't save unless you buy it. The only problem is that the sheet music will most definitly not look like the original score. If you're good at reading music, it probably doesn't matter. |

Why don't you fucking learn how to pose the proper question before you go off on people who try to answer you back and offer up advice? You didn't specify that they were speaking MP3's, as most people (95% of the populous) think of music to be synonymous with that file format. For that matter, you made it sound like you had some really good music that you wanted to extract the text from only. Like others have said, go find a dictation software that detects speech and play it through there. |

REM (OP) User ID: 1404 United States 01/24/2006 01:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Douchebag? You freak! You don't read either do you? Allow me to REPOST where I very clearly explained what I meant. "My MP3's are obviously not music files. Why would anyone want to transscribe music notes? What could you possibly hope to achieve by that? No these files are all speaking. No music in them of any type. But man are they good stuff I'd love to be able to put in print." I'd say that pretty much makes it clear even to a jackass that talks too much like you. Now notice these lines. ""My MP3's are obviously not music files." ""My MP3's are obviously not music files." "My MP3's are obviously not music files." "No these files are all speaking. No music in them of any type." "No these files are all speaking. No music in them of any type." "No these files are all speaking. No music in them of any type." Is it clear enough YET? |

In fact, it will not even know they are there. Sorry to be the bearer of this news... Take care, Dragon Sales Now, the idea of hooking a micophone up to the input may actually work. It'll be a while before I can try that since I can't find my software to install it again. Oh well. Perhaps I can get a transscript form where I got the files. Thanks all who got involved in this thread. Oh, maybe I should design some software to do just this thing. I'd bet it would be worht a few bucks to whomever did design it. |

There are several ways you can "connect" mp3 software to speech recognition softwre runing on the same PC. Look for audio tools on download sites like tucows or zdnet which act as "virtual connectors". They'll allow the output from the mp3 player to be channeled to the input of the speech recognition program as if it was coming if via the mic connector. |
