I don't think they are going to postpone the elections (at least not National Elections), but I think we may not know who won certain states for a few days...
Quoting: Saddletramp Yeah the problem being those "states" that will be delayed are the ones that determine the winner! Because of the Electoral College (a brilliant method of election btw) the popular vote doesn't really matter. IT is the "convention" of the Electoral to vote for the Popular winner..BUT.. it comes down to the Secretary of the individual STATES. That can confirm or deny the vote. Remember Katherine Harris.. [ link to en.wikipedia.org] This may come down to a State by State shoot out for certification by the Electoral College. Those States that are close may delay the certification.. there by delaying the election of a President.. until they are SURE..each State has it's own process and timeline. This could go on for a very long time.. and remember SOROS that evil sidekick of the Obama Administration.. he has been hard at work corrupting the process.. [ link to www.washingtontimes.com] Although some say this is more complicated than that... [ link to savingtherepublic.com] Quoting: WhiteLight The popular vote is not exactly what is counted, but it's almost always the same as the EC result. Indeed, probabilistically, it's quite hard for candidate A to win the EC if candidate B has say 53% or more of the popular vote, since states don't vote homogeneously. This whole thing is not THAT big of a deal in NJ, and NJ has a R governor, but it is expected to go D anyway. So if he thinks a delay would help O, I would be extremely surprised if Gov. Christie would allow a delay in NJ.
