To the above posters...what exactly does too old or dubstep mean?

i guess because i dont "get it" it makes me feel uncool, thus old.

I love some of it, some not so much.

I listen to just about everything though, except not too much country. I would rather listen to classical than most country. Most newer rap/hip-hop sucks too.

i am 30 so you probably DO think i am old, lol

i find dubstep is most enjoyable with a good set of headphones..otherwise much of the detail in the music is lost.

Fun to listen too sometimes, however it kills the ability to really dance too. I remember raves when whole masses locked into a killer 4 on the floor beat and got tribal with it, now its just pelvic grinding dry humping and loud wobbles.

I'm old I guess at 52 and have enjoyed the work of the talent behind the scenes, not the most famous ones necessarily, my whole life.

I love DUB so long as it is used as another tool that the artist has available, but DUB should not be emphasized just for the sake of DUB.

Some of my favorites of the last decade reflect this.

Ott, for example seems to have a great sense of the tools and how to use them with force but balance.

Skrillex is almost "there" for me, he has the energy and spirit for sure, but lacks a little on the emo journey side, but he is really young too.
