I'm in Brooklyn, overlooking the NY Harbor. Have a birds-eye view of everything from my balcony. We were very lucky, minimal damage, some trees knocked over on cars was all.

Stopped by a major grocery store yesterday...it was at least 40% out of inventory and they were only taking cash. They were completely sold out of canned foods, milk, bread items, chip aisle was bare. Asked the store manager (who is a good friend of mine) if he could pull some items for me from the back. He said "that's it, we don't have any more stock...we don't know when we're getting the next delivery truck. They're not letting any food trucks thru NJ or CT, all the food trucks are being turned back. The government has deemed food trucks to be secondary. They're only letting in utilities trucks and medical personnel." I asked him if he had any idea when they would start letting food trucks thru and he said no. Then he got tears in his eyes and walked away.

I'm going back to the store this afternoon to see if food truck deliveries have resumed. And do general recon in the area.
