Associated Press is now reporting that Governor Cuomo stated “8 million gallons of gas delivered in NY with another 28 million gallons on the way…to NYC and Long Island for emergency vehicles and the public”.

I really don’t trust anything the politicians and utilities companies are saying…I think they’re just making press statements to keep everyone calm.

I agree with you on this and I believe I provided information on Page 4 that shows that these reports are wrong

I think each underground tank at a Gas station is about 8000 gallons x 3 for regular, plus and premium = 24,000 gallons.

The Misumi has a Dead weight of 47,186 tons.

That's 67% of the Panamax at 70,000 tons minimum and 500,000 barrels.

500,000 barrels x 40 gal per barrel is 20,000,000 gallons.

67% of 20,000,000 gallons is 13,400,000 gals on board top estimate as we cannot see the actual capacity.

The Misaki is close to the same.
The Glory Express is also close to the same.

So 40,200,000gals sitting in the Harbor waiting to dock but we know that a good portion of these shipments are for Boston, CT and NY unless Futures Contracts have been changed to allow all to the NY/NJ Area.

All of the Ships in Harbor and Out near Sandy Hook are about 50-67% the size of a minimum Panamax Tanker. 9 total tankers.

9 x 13,400,000(average for simple estimate) = 120,600,000gals waiting in Harbor.

So call it 100,000,000gal waiting for delivery if they are full.

Coloniel Pipeline is apparently reopened as of yesterday.

It expects to deliver 700,000 bpd, which is about normal for the destination, spokesman Steve Baker said.

Earlier, Colonial said it restarted deliveries to Buckeye's Linden terminal and by later Friday it expects to restart two more delivery lines to other terminals, with another by the end of the day and two more over the weekend.

With the restart of these lines, about one-quarter of the shipper terminals served by Colonial from the Linden Tank Farm will be supplied.

NuStar Energy LP (NS) said Thursday the truck-rack facility at its petroleum-products terminal in Linden, N.J., will be back in service by noon Friday.

"We hope to have all eight bays operating as soon as full power is restored," Mr. Matula said.

The rest of NuStar's 4.5-million-barrel capacity storage-and-distribution terminal in Linden remains shuttered until commercial power can be restored and damage assessments completed.

Inwood - Global Terminal (gasoline and distillates): The facility is open and can accept barge and pipeline deliveries. It opened last night with approximately 1.7 million gallons unleaded; 350,000 gallons premium; 700,000 gallons of ULS diesel on site.

Inwood - CARBO (gasoline and distillates): The facility is open and can accept barge deliveries.

Northville Terminal at Port Jefferson (gasoline and distillates): Northville opened yesterday with 2.4 million gallons of diesel on site. A barge arrived at midnight this morning with 1 million gallons of gasoline. A barge from Hess Port Reading is expected to arrive today with 1 million gallons gasoline. Other scheduled deliveries include:
• November 4: 1.5 million gallons gasoline
• November 5: 1.5 million gallons gasoline
• November 6: 4 million gallons of gasoline and 5.3 million gallons of diesel

Glenwood Landing, Long Island (gasoline and distillates): Facility is open and can accept barge deliveries.

New York City

BP - Brooklyn (gasoline and distillates): Facility is open, and can accept barge and pipeline deliveries.

Free Gasoline...


Gov. Cuomo says the Department of Defense will set up emergency mobile fuel stations at five locations around the New York City metro area.

Free gasoline will be distributed, with a 10-gallon per-person limit, Cuomo announced at a briefing today. Cars and emergency service vehicles will be able to fill up directly from the 5,000-gallon trucks.

The government said later Saturday that the public should stay away from the free fuel stations until emergency responders get their gas.

FEMA is so impressive...

FEMA failed to have any meaningful supplies of bottled water -- or any other supplies, for that matter -- stored in nearby facilities as it had proclaimed it would on its website. This was the case despite several days advance warning of the impending storm.

FEMA only began to solicit bids for vendors to provide bottled water for distribution to Hurricane Sandy victims on Friday, sending out a solicitation request for 2.3 million

What is amazing is that after the India Tsunami, we sent two aircraft carriers almost immediately. Large Landing pad with room for supplies plus tens of thousands of gallons of water could be produced.

FEMA was not involved with that. Interestingly, the military is carting in millions of gallons of fuel and now appears to be flying in generators and other things with C5A's and AC130's as well.

So why do we need FEMA??

Saw a Nyorker on facebook whose power went back on and was selling his extra generator gas for 30$ a gallon.

A short while ago, I spoke with a very close friend who really does work for FEMA. Sounds like FEMA is very disorganized and still moving people around into position for various “missions”. He keeps being moved from city to city and has to find his own gas. He sounded very stressed out and even freaked out. Said NJ looks like post-Katrina in NOLA. Am so glad that I don’t need their help, that would put me in a world of hurting.


We stopped by a shelter and dropped off cans of coffee, batteries and bags of popcorn for the kids. There’s a lot of children in the shelters. Will go back in the morning to drop off more provisions.

Maybe he keeps $3 after tax if he reports it!

It looks like one container ship is lining up for Port Elizabeth right now and is turning into the Docks.

A small Hazard B Tanker is moving in and another Container Ship is also on the move.

Hopefully this will continue.

Rails are still cutoff though.

Coloniel Pipeline: Apparently Open adding 15% of the normal supply. Uncertain of ability to offload onto trucks.

Cargo Ships: 1 Container ships have moved into Port Elizabeth. Interestingly, it appears not to be lined up with the Cranes if you switch to Satelite View. 1 More is on the way to Port Elizabeth as well.

Oil Tanker Ships: Though there are 4 in the Harbor, All are anchored and not heading to the docks.

Trains: CSX and Norfolk Southern are Still showing that they are cutoff from NJ Terminals/Port Elizabeth.

Even if the container ships dock up at Port Elizabeth, nothing is going on those trains yet. As well, nothing is leaving on those Boats...from the trains yet.

They have diverted multiple ships to Boston, VA and other areas.

BayWay Refinery is still down and may have been damaged enough to keep it closed for 4-6 weeks.
