The ones that do look bad are Linden and Perth Amboy, NJ. There is no telling whether the Tanker Docks, which are the really thin curved ones are damaged though. Salt water corroding the hookups, etc. |

Does somebody knows in which way the supply in middle long term will be affected? I read several articles mentioning problems for super Friday and the holiday season. That is an excellent find. Thank you so much. It does verify what we have been covering here for a week now. In an earlier post from yesterday I guessed that incoming supply at this point is in theory down about 40% for the area. My personal opinion is that it will be wavy, so some days will be bad and the next day pretty good at the pumps. But there will be a delay becaus of the existing supply. Maybe 1 or 2 week delay and then supply will start to get thin, prices rise, long lines etc. I don't know how much of an area will be affected either. Long term it will recover but I think we are looking well through Thanksgiving of abnormal supply, lines and rationing. Especially with this new storm coming in with the potential to knock out power again in many areas including the ports. I just hope we do not see this with Food as the trains are down still and docks are not fully operational throughout the Port of NY/NJ. Certainly anyone can give their opinions and observatiosn here. |

In compiling the directory, we have tried to list only those companies that have actual storage depot operations. The operators specialize in both the handling and storage of ISO containers. For instance, we try not to list carriers that provide only cargo container drayage service. A couple of abbreviations are used in the section covering container-handling machines. SC stands for straddle carrier, and TLSL means top-lifting side-loader. None in New York, Pennsylvania Jan 10, 2012 3:36 PM Tank Container Depot Services Key a. Storage b. Cleaning c.
