Rasmussen and Gallup are the standards for polls and have been for many years. They both show Romney in the lead, BTW. Not so much actually. [link to www.gallup.com] I have no idea what your silly link goes to but the last two polls from gallup and rasmussen show romney winning. The reason gallup has been such an outlier is because they are the only ones trying to estimate this years turnout instead of just using the 08 turnout rates as a guide. The dems early numbers are WAY down compared to 08 and the repubs is way up....theres no way they are going to have the 8% turnout edge this time around |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 26786854 11/01/2012 06:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hell yeah. I too will love my job --- because it will be Hollywood, so that's pretty great, for now I have my studies, and I love them, too. People LOVING their life, their job and their country --> this is what the bitter, lazy Liberals and assorted "Libertarian" provocateurs, poseurs & bums are never able to grasp. See, to them because they are MISERABLE in their life, because they have such ENTITLED & UNREALISTIC expectations of life.... because they abuse drugs which only exacerbate their delusions..... well that's why those losers are always calling other, well-adjusted, hard working and inspired people "sheep", "sheeple", "asleep" and "slaves to Rothschild" and other such silly variations. Love what you do, that way you never have to work a day in your life. No, not every body can be a future star like me, but I've known many people who worked simple jobs who were honestly HAPPY and who didn't need anti-depressives or anti- anxiety medications. And unlike the weak-ass, spoiled, sheltered Liberal/Libertarian pussies.... those hard-working Americans actually faced REAL challenges in life, had family tragedy, or had been to war, had some disability they had to overcome, etc. It's all in how you look at things. Trite, but true. A lot of conspiracy nuts, even on GLP, just are too ego-centric and lack in historical perspective --- they don't know how good they have it at their "boring slave" jobs. No idea. |

This morning's rounds of "who's gonna win" trash talking left me extremely depressed. All kinds of polls were quoted and analyzed on both sides. Each side guaranteed their man would win. I've learned not to trust polls, like many of you. So it was when some posters started quoting the Vegas odds that I started getting worried. I can't see those bookmakers being wrong. I sent my friend the numbers on some of those websites. My friend, formerly very optimistic for a Romney win, replied: So for Obama, odds of 1/4 == a bet of $4 will win $1 or a $5 return. Quoting: My friendFor Romney, odds 11/4 == a bet of $4 will win $11 or a $15 return. So the odds makers are betting on Obama winning. Obama is a Chicago politician with heavy connections to the labor unions which are heavily connected to the mob which controls the gambling in this country. That means that the bookies know Obama is not going to lose this election no matter what. He’s going to stay in office by hook, crook, or overwhelming power. Get ready for the next American Civil War. You have a gun, a bunch of rice, and some canned goods. Fill up every container you have with water and buy lots of toilet paper. The crap is about to hit the fan. I did remind my friend that the bet isn't whether Obama will "remain in power", but rather, whether he'll get 270 electoral votes. But still, the extreme negativity from a guy who just this morning was ready to declare Romney the winner is pretty disconcerting. I know the libs see these Vegas odds as just another piece of evidence that their man will remain in office. My question to my fellow Romney supporters is: I'm having a hard time seeing how they're wrong, aren't you? No Romney cheer-leading, please. If someone can see why these Vegas odds would be wrong, please say so. Otherwise, I guess we really are screwed. |

Libtards HATE Christie, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if many do NOT show up to vote for Barack because of it! . Nice try. You're missing the point. You see, NJ is still very much in Obama's bag. And nationally, Obama was still favored even before Christie's endorsement. Liberals are also more fanatical, so I doubt they would not vote for their Messiah Obama just because of Christie. Highly doubt it. And finally, 2012 election is important to liberals, but it's SUPER-IMPORTANT to Republicans who must prove to the country that they are still a viable, credible party. So the stakes are higher for GOP here. And Christie endorsement may just swing enough "on the fence" votes in Ohio and Florida to Obama. And you have to read my post. I provided CONTEXT for why I think Christie is a POS. He wants Romney to lose. And he is a fool, because once Democrats are in power for another term, they will NOT allow another Republican to win Presidency for a long, long time. So by putting his own interests ahead of his party's, Christie may have hurt BOTH. Funny how that works. |

Lets say you have two football teams playing. For our example we will use Oregon versus Alabama. Lets say that Oregon fans are crazy and think their team is going to win so their fans go out and bet on Oregon early. This would cause the betting to become lopsided and force vegas to give better odds to Alabama just to get more people betting on Alabama even though Alabama is the better team. |
