Re: GALLUP: Mitt Romney Now LEADING In National Early Voting- PEW Confirms That Today!
Gallup produced results based on thousands of voter contacts indicating that Mitt Romney is leading in national early voting by roughly six percentage points. Last night, another venerable polling outfit confirmed Gallup's findings:

From Pew Research:
The Pew Research Center survey found that the race is even among all likely voters nationwide (47% Obama, 47% Romney). Unlike the last campaign, the race also is close among voters who say they have already voted. In the poll, conducted Oct. 24-28, 19% of likely voters say they have already voted; that is unchanged from the same week in the 2008 campaign (Oct. 23-26, 2008). Currently, Romney holds a seven-point edge among early voters (50% to 43%); because of the small sample, this lead is not statistically significant. At this point four years ago, Obama led John McCain by 19 points (53% to 34%) among early voters.

[link to www.people-press.org]

The overall sample was roughly 1700 voters, only about half the size of Gallup's pool, but resulting in nearly the exact same early voting outcome. In this case, Romney by seven. Gallup found that Obama led McCain by 15 points in early tallies at this stage in 2008; Pew puts the gap at 19 points, so their 2012 numbers represent a 26-point swing to the GOP ticket.
Townhall:
[link to townhall.com]

And then, we have Democrat Denver Mayor saying this:
Hancock even broke news on that Wisconsin trip, telling voters if the election were to be held right now the president would lose Wisconsin and its coveted 10 electoral votes. ... “We have not turned out the vote early,” Hancock told the newspaper. “The suburbs and rural parts of Wisconsin – the Republican base – are voting. President Obama’s base has yet to go vote. We’ve got to get our people to go vote.”
[link to ace.mu.nu]

MORE from Townhall:
“The Gallup numbers nationally confirm what we think is happening here in Ohio,” says one Romney official. “It’s two things. One, their margin of victory in early voting is greatly diminished — drastically diminished. And two, they are having a very difficult time generating enthusiasm among young people.”

Asked for evidence to support those claims, the official cited a Romney tally showing absentee and early voting is ten percent higher in counties McCain won in 2008 than in counties Obama won. He also pointed to sluggish early voting in the Toledo area, which Obama won in ’08, and particularly energetic early voting in the Cincinnati area, which McCain won. In addition, the official argues that Republicans are “outperforming our share of voter registration in absentee requests and early votes” and that the GOP has “closed the gap on Democrats’ historical absentee and early vote advantage for 20 of the past 21 days.”

When Florida is a landslide, and OH, PA, NH, IA, etc. are called by the networks for Romney early, I expect disheartened and lazy libs on the West Coast to stay home. That will expand the margin of victory in the popular vote beyond what all these polls say.

The lamentations, recriminations, and accusations of the liberal Man-Womyn on MSNBC will be the stuff of the ages to watch. MUST-SEE TV!!

They just won't be able to admit they were wrong, the liberal ego doesn't allow for that.

Your election is the biggest f..ing mess ive ever seen.

You have 2 options.

1: A Muslim - That you hate so damn much, for what reason i have no clue... i guess we could just call him a nazicommunistmuslimgayactivist to piss of the rednecks.

2: A Retard - A man who belives the earth is 6000 years old. In any other contry (yes even cuba, iran.. bla bla bla) saying shit like that would automaticly make you a non suitable president.

But hey its the land of the free and the home of the brave??? Whatever the f..k that now is, yes americans you are really free and brave....

Romney is pretty smart. I've never seen anywhere where Romney mentioned 6000 years reference.

I'd say you're a major libtard douchebag.

University, France mission, marriage, and children: 1965–75
Romney attended Stanford University during the academic year of 1965–66.[17] He was not part of the counterculture of the 1960s then taking form in the San Francisco Bay Area.[17] In May 1966, he joined a counter-protest against a group staging a sit-in at the university administration building in opposition to draft status tests.[17][27] He continued to enjoy occasional pranks.[nb 2]
In July 1966, he left the U.S. for a thirty-month stay in France as a Mormon missionary,[17][30] a traditional rite of passage in his family.[nb 3] He arrived in Le Havre, where he shared cramped quarters with three others, and conditions were spartan.[10][32] Rules against drinking, smoking, and dating were strictly enforced.[10] Most individual Mormon missionaries do not gain many converts[nb 4] and Romney was no exception:[32] he later estimated ten to twenty for his entire mission.[37][nb 5] He initially became demoralized and later recalled it as the only time when "most of what I was trying to do was rejected."[32] He soon gained recognition within the mission for the many homes he called on and the repeat visits he was granted.[10] He was promoted to zone leader in Bordeaux in early 1968, and soon thereafter became assistant to the mission president in Paris.[10][32][39] Residing at the Mission Home for several months, he enjoyed a mansion far more comfortable than the lodgings he had stayed in elsewhere in the country.[39] When the French expressed opposition to the U.S. role in the Vietnam War, Romney debated them in return, and their hostility on the subject reinforced Romney's support for the U.S. effort.[10][32]

Mitt's father George (pictured here in a 1968 poster) lost the Republican presidential nomination to Richard M. Nixon but later served in Nixon's cabinet.

Mitt's mother Lenore (promoted here on a button) lost a Senate race in 1970, and he worked for her campaign.
In June 1968, an automobile he was driving in southern France was hit by another vehicle, seriously injuring him and killing one of his passengers, the wife of the mission president.[nb 6] Romney was not at fault in the accident.[nb 6] He became co-president of a mission that had become demoralized and disorganized after the May 1968 general strike and student uprisings and the car accident.[40] With Romney rallying the others, the mission met a goal of 200 baptisms for the year, the most for them in a decade.[40] By the end of his stint in December 1968, he was overseeing the work of 175 others.[32][41] As a result of his stay, Romney developed a lifelong affection for France and its people, and has remained fluent in French.[43][44]
At their first meeting following his return, Romney and Ann Davies reconnected and decided to get married.[45] Romney began attending Brigham Young University (BYU), where she had been studying.[46] The couple married on March 21, 1969, in a civil ceremony in Bloomfield Hills.[47][48] The following day, they flew to Utah for a Mormon wedding ceremony at the Salt Lake Temple (Ann had converted to the faith while he was away).[47][48]
Mitt had missed much of the tumultuous American anti-Vietnam War movement while away in France. Upon his return, it surprised him to learn that his father had joined the movement during his unsuccessful 1968 presidential campaign.[32] George was now serving in President Richard Nixon's cabinet as United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. In a June 1970 newspaper profile of children of cabinet members, Mitt said that U.S. involvement in the war had been misguided – "If it wasn't a political blunder to move into Vietnam, I don't know what is" – but supported Nixon's ongoing Cambodian Incursion as a sincere attempt to bring the war to a conclusion.[49] During the U.S. military draft for the Vietnam War, Romney sought and received two 2-S student deferments, then a 4-D ministerial deferment while living in France as a Mormon missionary. He later sought and received two additional student deferments.[27][50] When those ran out, the result of the December 1969 draft lottery ensured he would not be selected.[27][50][51]
At culturally conservative BYU, Romney remained isolated from much of the upheaval of that era.[32][46] He became president of the Cougar Club booster organization and showed a new-found discipline in his studies.[32][46] During his senior year, he took a leave to work as driver and advance man for his mother Lenore Romney's eventually unsuccessful 1970 campaign for U.S. Senator from Michigan;[22][47] together, they visited all 83 Michigan counties.[52][53] He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with highest honors in 1971,[46] giving commencement addresses to both the College of Humanities and to the whole of BYU.[nb 7]
The Romneys' first son, Taggart, was born in 1970[34] while they were undergraduates at BYU and living in a basement apartment.[46] Ann subsequently gave birth to Matthew (1971) and Joshua (1975). Benjamin (1978) and Craig (1981) would arrive later, after Romney began his career.[34]
Mitt Romney wanted to pursue a business career, but his father advised him that a law degree would be valuable to his career even if he did not become a lawyer.[56][57] Thus, he enrolled in the recently created joint Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration four-year program coordinated between Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.[58] He readily adapted to the business school's pragmatic, data-driven case study method of teaching.[57] Living in a Belmont, Massachusetts house with Ann and their two children, his social experience differed from most of his classmates'.[47][57] He was nonideological and did not involve himself in the political issues of the day.[47][57] He graduated in 1975 cum laude from the law school, in the top third of that class, and was named a Baker Scholar for graduating in the top five percent of his business school class.[54][58]

LOL, dream on you fear-mongering twat. American leadership has saved the world from the scourge of Nazism, Stalinism, Mao-ism and is in the process of holding Islamism in check.

(That, until the darling of Leftists all over the world -- Barack Obama -- came along with his disasterous pro-Muslim Brotherhood policies....)

Jusr wait until right-wingers Stephen Harper and Mitt Romney build a major pipe-line and start making use of North America's huge shale-oil, coal and natural gas reserves to jump start the ailing economy.

Boy will liberals in Canada and US be pissed! They will be rooting for bad things to happen every day -- just like during Bush administration, Liberals were PRAYING for Americans to be killed in Iraq as much as possible to make GOP look bad.

Nothing new. People who vote early are the more responsible, conservative folks. People who don't wait for the last minute to do everything. The Obama voters will drag themselves into the polling places (or not, if they don't wake up from their previous nights crack binge on time) on Election Day, probably late in the day.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26077737

Actually, democrats are the early voters. They push the early voting, busing, etc. Historically, conservatives vote ON election day, even if they can vote early. Just saying that's been the history in the past. Don't know this year, but if it holds true, Obama is toast.

My friend, Obama will completely eliminate the middle class, it will be forced out of existence by design. There will be no more reward for effort, like you have alleged to have achieved. Everyone - regardless of background, capability, skill, luck, etc - will be living in an equal state of squalor dependent on the government for shelter, food and water, health care, even telephones. That's is what educated people like you will be getting in exchanging for working a government 'green job'. There will be no opportunity, no ambition, no success for anyone beyond the regime's oligarchy.

Vote for who you choose but I think Mitt Romney is only option to potentially protect your dream. If he gives a handout to the top 1% who cares, if the other 99% do better too ? Obama will destroy eradicate your dream and future generations will never be able to enjoy the freedom, opportunity, success, ambition, and reward that has been available, if not guaranteed, to all Americans.

This is where I think Republians have failed on an intellectual-ideological-political axis.

They have done a poor job EXPLAINING to the minority of Americans who LEGITIMATELY need welfare, SSI that it is in their best interests to vote for Republicans because:

--Republicans will fix the economy with pro-growth policies (trillions over 10 years)
--Republicans will guarantee welfare by cuttiong off generational moochers, fraud, and inefficiencies.

So basically people who legitimately need the safety net, their benefits not only will remain but maybe even margginally increase ---- ONLY if they allow the Replicans to reform the entitlements/welfare to save 100s of billions of dollars in those who take advantage of it.

I bet the disabled people, the Veterans are probably pissed off at all those who abuse the welfare system, thus bringing it closer to bankruptcy, which will affect them too... not to mention, those who abuse the system, give the veterans, the disabled social STIGMA and a bad name in public perception. (Like welfare queens do because every ends up being painted with the same brush)

If timing was everything then they would've timed it before the debates so that Barry would have to answer some of these questions live, without a teleprompter, in front of millions of viewers. They wouldn't time it for the next 4 or 5 days when most people have already made up their minds.

So I think your second possibility is the right one. They are pussies, too afraid to challenge Obama on some of these really damning things. They don't want to be called racists.

Re: GALLUP: Mitt Romney Now LEADING In National Early Voting- PEW Confirms That Today!
I guess all this doesn't agree with the people who are willing to bet money on the winner.

This page shows UK bookies' odds, and all 16 of them favor an Obama win by a large margin. I've been watching this since last week, and the margin is growing. The money is almost to 3-1 against Romney now.

Then there is intrude, which shows the money is on Obama.

Obama: 66%

Romney: 64%

Townhall:

And then, we have Democrat Denver Mayor saying this:
Hancock even broke news on that Wisconsin trip, telling voters if the election were to be held right now the president would lose Wisconsin and its coveted 10 electoral votes. ... “We have not turned out the vote early,” Hancock told the newspaper. “The suburbs and rural parts of Wisconsin – the Republican base – are voting. President Obama’s base has yet to go vote. We’ve got to get our people to go vote.”

And that's considering that Republicans are still sitting on quite a few smoking guns, such as:

-Sharrod Brown scanadal similar to Jesse Jackson, Jr
-the full Benghazi-gate expose
-Obama's homosexuality
-Obama's cocain dealing/using as a youth
-Obama videotape that LA Times supposedly suppressed in 2008
-Obama's college grades that prove that he's a Kenyan exchange student or lied on application.

That's right, the heavy guns haven't even been used yet.

I'm an economist and worked my way into the middle class. First in my family to college and I've lived the dream. I can tell you without a single doubt in my mind that Romney will liquidate the middle class and give astronomical handouts to the 1%. Voted Bush twice, voted McCain, will NOT vote Romney. Obama isn't much better but is the only option to protect my dream and those of all Americans working hard to achieve a middle class comfortable life.

Ding, ding, ding.

Don't pay attention to the neo-Liberals clever DOUBLE-TALKING, code words and symantic-substitution.

The REAL goal of Socialists historically has always been elimination or subjugation of the BOURGEOSIE -- i.e. the very Middle-Class that Obama is claiming he's all about.

The commies have grown up, dusted themselves off and learned to LIE about their true intentions. That's what makes them so dangerous and devastatingly effective. See: Obama's "centrist" 2008 campaign.

Wow, that is beyond sad.

You really need to do some research and stop lapping up propaganda with no basis of fact what-so-ever.

Romney is VERY against hand outs of any kind. Obama is the one who gives handouts. And THAT is what will cost your American dream. There are more people in the cart than are pulling the cart. Big government will collapse the middle class. Everything Obama has done is to that means.

Romney believes in working and serving, on your own. He is very against people who don't work for what they have.

He gives 30% of his income to charity. Obama, who has more millions than he does, gives 13%.

Did you get that last part? Obama has more money than Romney. Fact.

But you gotta get past this oh he's rich so he's horrible thing in your head. He is by all accounts of anyone and everyone who has EVER known him, an admirable, charitable, genuine person. He has nothing in his past but good. He has an impeccable reputation. That used to count for something. And a reputation like Obama's used to not count for something.

You're proof that the media is the best campaign manager Obama could ever have.

Please, please. Research a little farther past whatever it is you're looking at now. Because, I know for certain that our dreams, rights, and the America we know now will not make it another 4 years with this man in office.

Timing is everything.

Or maybe, Republicans have become pussies who really don't feel like being in charge anymore. Could be that, too.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22473725

If timing was everything then they would've timed it before the debates so that Barry would have to answer some of these questions live, without a teleprompter, in front of millions of viewers. They wouldn't time it for the next 4 or 5 days when most people have already made up their minds.

So I think your second possibility is the right one. They are pussies, too afraid to challenge Obama on some of these really damning things. They don't want to be called racists.
 Quoting: JoeJett

Or maybe all of the above is simply bullshit. If any single one of those items had been presented with hard evidence, it would have been all over for Obama.
