If Jesus Christ promises to answer prayer yet fails most of the time is His word reliable?
I mean all through the Bible Jesus makes promises after promise to his followers yet if most Christians are honest to themselves their prayers land on deaf ears! A majority of the time pray is not answered ... Yet Jesus Says ask me for anything and I will do it. Are these just LIES? Does Jesus keep his word ... Many promises in the Bible ... but so far in my Christian walk it has just been broken promises and shattered dreams. So much for Jesus being faithful to his own words.

Oh how I wish God & His son Jesus was Faithful to the words written in the BIBLE ... The testimony I could sing and share ... But so far just shattered hopes and empty dreams ... promises broken ... lies , lies , and more lies.

P.S. God please dont make promises or have your son make promises if he is not willing to answer the prayers prayed? Why pray?

Many people pray to win the lottery. Should Jesus make it so that EVERYBODY wins the lottery every week?? Because that wouldn't work would it?

From the Bible
John 14:12-14
12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

Unless the Bible was tampered with its in there ... He will do it! 99.999% of the time of failing to do it I think that is called lying. I mean if I made a promise to my children yet failed to keep my word on that promise is that not lying?

Ask Jesus for a brand new bubble gum pink Kong Dong dildo that you can sodomize yourself with and see what he thinks.

He was never going to give you anything you wanted. You listen to too much to phonys like Kenneth Copeland and his name it and claim it bunk. Jesus never told you you were going to get everything you want. He said you were going to be persecuted an hounded until your dying day like the Apostle Paul, who coincidently got everything he ever wanted, which was numerous chances to preach to the lost of the world all over the world.

Those in tune with the spirit an God's will ask the right questions and make the right requests. Those get granted. Pleas for Cadillacs, pink dildos and a girlfriend with big boobs generaly don't.

Thats funny that you should say that ... remember King David well God gave him many wives, riches, and if he wanted more all he had to do is ask...

2 Samual 12:7Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more.

You're not even using the right name and you're complaining? LOL..

The letter J did not exist in ANY language until the 14th-15th century.

So when you say "jesus" who the hell are you calling ?

Wake up moran. Je'sus is actually a derivative of ZEUS (a demon), a "God" highly reverenced in the pagan society of the Greeks and the Romans.

Christ was a Hebrew Israelite from the Tribe of Judah, so he spoke HEBREW. His function was the SAVIOR.

Savior in Hebrew stems from YASHA.

To make this Short, his name YASHAYAH.

Now stop being ignorant and call on the name of the Messiah and SAVIOR, you didn't really think those in charge in this Earth would give you the real name of the Messiah did you?

[In depth analysis below]

to SAVE in the Hebrew stems from the word YASHA.

*link* (put this in your browser)
[link to www.blueletterbible.org]

Now that we have the ROOT word for SAVE/deliver (Yasha) here is the name:
YASHAYAH (this is how you would use the name in the SECOND person)

Messiah came in the flesh TO SAVE and deliver his people from affliction and the hands of Satan.

As for yahshua/yehoshua... None of those have the root word: SAVE (Yasha).

Ive been asking many years ... not mocking ... just expecting Great and Mighty things from a Great and Mighty God ... more than anything I could ever ask, wish or imagine ... thats what I expect ... those promises are there ... I don't like where your going with this OP, it's not what your saying, it's what your not saying, Insinnuendos.

Do you mean to imply, sir, that god does not exist.

Interesting, interesting theory. Um, who else isn’t real? Hmm? You gonna tell me Elmo isn’t real? Huh? SpongeBob? Is he not real? Is SpongeBob not there at the bottom of the ocean giving Squidward the business? Hmm? And what about Curious George? Huh? Does he not really exist? Hmm? Is Curious George not really out there makin’ little boats out of newspapers that he should be delivering? Huh?

Educate yourself, you fool.

OP,

I am here to share the absolute truth on this matter, if you wish to understand it.

To the degree that our prayer is sincere is the degree that it will be answered.

It is difficult to accept this truth because when we are in tears ...calling out...we think that we are sincere, but mostly we are not.

Ingredients of insincerity:

Complaining prayer. We want something rather than trust God to provide what we ACTUALLY need.

Condemning prayer. We condemn others for the things they do or we condemn God for allowing 'bad things' to happen. We fail to trust that God's will is done, NOT OURS.

Wanton Prayer. We ask for things to which will please us, but they are not needed, nor are they a part of Gods plan...

these are just a few of the insincere prayers.

as far as answers...we always are answered if we pray sincerely...it is the result of submitting the human will to God. If you do not do this, your answers will not come.

Why then does Jesus speak plainly and say "ASK ANYTHING and HE will do it"...I asked many, many times ... to numerous to count or remember ... Yet He does not do it as promised. Why make the statement in the Bible in the first place? Why make us this promise if he does not intend to deliver?

I guess what I am getting at is if Jesus fails me time and time again then is the Bible maybe corrupt in the first place... I mean if God Cannot Lie ... yet in all my experiance and knowledge if you make a promise yet do not deliver on that promise isn't that a LIE. So maybe some parts of the Bible are true and others made up? And if that is the case what parts can be trusted and what parts are lies?

God the father wants us to come to him with the faith of a child ... Sharing our life with him, an intamate relationship as son to a father... telling him our needs, wants, desires, dreams, hopes, wishes ... thanking him for all we have ... reading his word, practicing his word, believing and having faith in his words .... resting in his words ... I have done these things time and time again ... conforming my mind with his word yet when it comes to the real meat and potatos so to speak ... the answering of prayer he fails .. big time ... not just a little but most of the time... so much for being faithful to his own words.

Or you have prayed for something and the answer is there yet you don't have the eyes to see it yet. My example: I prayed and asked the Lord for change in my life. Soon after, my father in law died, my husband and I were in a car accident with $7,000.00 damage and I had to put my two elderly dogs to sleep on the same day. Where's God...right? In my grief, I felt total anger at Him. Six months later I can say this....my father in law had been saved just prior to his passing and was 82 years old. He had two adult children using him for money on a constant basis. I believe the Lord took him for his relief and rest. My car was repaired thanks to the good insurance I had and was able to trade it in just a week ago for a brand new car with extended warranty. My two dogs grew up together, it was so much better that they went together rather than one be left behind in old age missing the other. God has been with me the whole time, yes, he answered my prayers, I am attacked by evil as well, and he protects me through it all. All this because I simply BELIEVE what is said in the Bible and then walk on, whether I have perfect answers or not. The Bible also says, "lean not on your own understanding". Don't always look for concrete evidence of God in the way YOU want it. He does it his way but he'll not forsake you!
