If Jesus Christ promises to answer prayer yet fails most of the time is His word reliable?

Or you have prayed for something and the answer is there yet you don't have the eyes to see it yet. My example: I prayed and asked the Lord for change in my life. Soon after, my father in law died, my husband and I were in a car accident with $7,000.00 damage and I had to put my two elderly dogs to sleep on the same day. Where's God...right? In my grief, I felt total anger at Him. Six months later I can say this....my father in law had been saved just prior to his passing and was 82 years old. He had two adult children using him for money on a constant basis. I believe the Lord took him for his relief and rest. My car was repaired thanks to the good insurance I had and was able to trade it in just a week ago for a brand new car with extended warranty. My two dogs grew up together, it was so much better that they went together rather than one be left behind in old age missing the other. God has been with me the whole time, yes, he answered my prayers, I am attacked by evil as well, and he protects me through it all. All this because I simply BELIEVE what is said in the Bible and then walk on, whether I have perfect answers or not. The Bible also says, "lean not on your own understanding". Don't always look for concrete evidence of God in the way YOU want it. He does it his way but he'll not forsake you!

Well right now I sure do feel forsaken, disappointed, angry, etc... the one I was taught in the Bible that I could always trust is God ... Yet looking back on the many (and I mean MANY) un-answered prayers ... its like why even pray anymore... He has been so UN-Faithful to me in his promises ... I wish I had another testimony on my lips... but I do have to face the truth. ... I know Jesus Christ is Lord and proclaim him as such ... yet if he cant be faithful in the now and present ... then what about eternity?

I have no idea what you are talking about! YASHAYAH. who is that ... my Bible says "Jesus Christ" NIV or KJV ... If God isn't powerful enough to keep his own word pure and truthful for the millions of people who seek and want to follow him then He isn't A God worth serving or worshiping! Thats my take.

There was a few times where I had to expel some false spirits too. Worked instantly.

There was one time, the possession attempt was so strong I was having convulsions alone on the bed while filling my whole body being electrified. I asked for help like 3 to 5 subconsciously and then I got relieved.

And there was a time where I got a disease and got cured right after asking for help. It was immediate.

Oh man, at this point I feel like Im dependent. No, Im not. I really dont ask help unless I really need it.

Christ was a Hebrew Israelite from the Tribe of Judah, so he spoke HEBREW.

I mean all through the Bible Jesus makes promises after promise to his followers yet if most Christians are honest to themselves their prayers land on deaf ears! A majority of the time pray is not answered ... Yet Jesus Says ask me for anything and I will do it. Are these just LIES? Does Jesus keep his word ... Many promises in the Bible ... but so far in my Christian walk it has just been broken promises and shattered dreams. So much for Jesus being faithful to his own words.

If God has given you wisdom then answer me this: Hebrews 11 speaks of the Might men/women of Faith but the verse that troubles me the most is Hebrews 11:39 "These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised" ... If they were promised something yet never got it then Did not God LIE somewhere along the line? read it again A promise was made yet never fullfilled ... is this not considered a lie from the one whom made the promise?

The bible is the entire history of the relationship between God and mankind, and deeply layered with many, many lessons. We cannot take one section or verse and expect it to answer a very specific question. The answers lie throughout it, that is why we are encouraged to continually read the word of God, to continually have more revealed to us. Do you read the word regularly, pray over it, and make your needs known then thank in faith? Then walk on with living your life for HIM?

Oh how I wish God & His son Jesus was Faithful to the words written in the BIBLE ... The testimony I could sing and share ... But so far just shattered hopes and empty dreams ... promises broken ... lies , lies , and more lies.

I hate to say this but I grew weary reading the Bible and applying to my life only to have God disappoint me time and time again. At one time in my life I was on fire for God then he by his lack of response and failures to answer prayer my fire smoldered to a bearly light ember ... I am sooooo disapointed with God & Jesus. I feel he has failed me and my family on so many levels I get sick to my stomach.
