Crisis in New York, New Jersey *Smaller Nor'easter Possible!!!*
people waiting for hours to get gas in NY,NJ. i was lucky enough to wait only 30 min but i was talking with people from bronx who said they knew people who waited 2 hours and that there are at least 5 police officers at each station. ive seen several military black hawk helicopters flyover today. never seen anything like this before. could this be a sign of things to come?

Worse yet....winter is coming and all those who have no homes or water soaked and broken homes will need shelter and all the necessities of life for many months to come.

Feds should be taking closed military bases out of mothballs and allowing people to live in the base housing.

The larger ones have everything the storm refugees would need such as a big kitchen and cafeteria, laundry facilities, store and space for schools.

Better that than to be homeless in the northeast in the middle of winter.

Most of the displaced will be unemployed because the businesses they worked for are also a wreck so they could have base jobs.

Would go a long way to helping people out even if they have to leave the area for a while.

And Obama wasn't prepared. Why weren't all the relief supplies to handle this not already moving toward NY? Hurricanes are the President's job as we all know. This one was unprepared.

I can't even imagine what a nightmare that must be. Beyond any words I'm sure. Keep us posted, and rest well tonight if you can.

They spent days warning everyone, but never thought to have massive amounts of help all ready to go when it was over.
The help they're getting seems to be an afterthought almost.

There were WARNINGS for DAYS and DAYS that it would be like this. It's a little hard to get help in, with gas shortages, wreckage and destruction, people have to prepared to take care of themselves in disasters for AT LEAST 3 days, more safely would be 7-10 days.

CANNOT depend on the government to be there immediately. They just cannot mobilize this quickly. We've seen it over and over.
