Anyone can prepare for minor doom. It is the major doom where you must flee your home and depend on the kindness of others. How much stuff can one carry. How long could one last? It has to come down to a world that works for everyone. Even those who have land, water, supplies for a year are at risk during major civil unrest and natural and manmade disasters.

I spoke to a guy at work yesterday who told me "I got a guy who is a political analyst (I realize that does not give this any credibility- just telling you what I heard) who said that is Romney wins, there are going to be such riots that Obama will declare Martial Law, and Romney can never become president after that because the only person that can lift Martial Law is the person that put it into place."

Could be BS, but it holds a little bit of water. I've been reading and hearing that riots are coming if Romney wins. And I don't doubt that we'll see Martial Law enacted if that happens. And it makes sense that Romney cannot take the wheel until (if ever) Martial Law is lifted.
