NY/NJ Gas Shortages: Mile-Long Lines, Rationing, Fights, Police Draw Guns
There are widespread reports about fistfights and people bringing guns to gas stations, thanks to gas shortages in New York and New Jersey.

The pictures only tell half the story.

Eastern Americans are ready to kill each other for a little gasoline...now imaging if this was a problem for more than a week...yikes!

I hope everyone in the area keeps their cool this weekend but it looks like things are at a boiling point. Doesnt help when you have a bunch of yuppies running a marathon this weekend that will be using tents, generators, medical, and food provided by the city.

The yuppies seem oblivious to the situation around them which is normal for those with such self centered views. I have been training so hard for this marathon blah blah woe is me. Normally there are a few heart attacks and even death how in the hell can the over whelmed hospitals handle this?

The thing is, a good prepper is also mobile. If you stay in a very populated area your preps are as good as gone.

But yes, this is the kind of thing they (we) prepare for.
If I was there I'd have hit the road a day before the storm hit with some supplies. I do realize that is not an option for everyone. God bless those in need. I hope NCY comes to its senses and cancels the stupid marathon.

I lived in NY during college internships I would have also left, the sad reality is so many lifetime new yorkers don't even have drivers licenses. Being dependent on public transportation is what made me hate that city. I hope the marathon is a no go but unfortunately it looks like they are proceeding.
