One of the things I love hearing from black people is how I, me, myself - I personally, my family and bloodline have kept blacks down.

Do you know what my bloodline is full of? Irish and Polish slaves and laborers. We worked right alongside the blacks building the railroads and picking the cotton. Not just in the US, but in the Old World too.

I said this on the other thread of about this. We won't be going back to the fields as that is now under gubment control and they mandate how many crops can be grown by who. So there def will not be jobs in that so the statement is not actual in that aspect.

And the prevailing attitude makes me wonder how productive it was to have slaves in the first place. I have read it was economically unfeasible and on the way out long before the civil war is it was cheaper to just pay a low wage instead of total support.

But couldn't waste a good chance for a war and confiscation of all that property. Meanwhile the North employees children instead in their factories.

And agree that every ethnic group on earth has been under some form of slavery at some time in history.

Even the Germans were slaves to the Romans.

It really makes me sad to see how brain-washed people are. There are so many things wrong with what this child was taught.

First of all, to go BACK to the fields, you have to have been IN the fields. I'm pretty sure his family has never been.

Second, it isn't likely anyone will be out in the fields picking anything that doesn't need to be picked by hand and already IS. It's just not feasible.

I live with cotton fields all around my house and there isn't ANYONE picking cotton by hand. There hasn't been for decades. It's not practical. All of it is done by machines.

The ONLY way this little guy and his family would be out in the fields is if the s**t really DID hit the fan. If that happens, we're ALL out in the fields. Maybe he's right, but if he is, it isn't because O loses the election.

Irish and German here. My family did not come here because they were living so well in Europe.

Maybe we should send all kids in the USA to pick crops in the summer when they are 13 or 14.

It would certainly teach them where their food and textiles actually come from.

It would also teach them some humility and the meaning of hard work. Might even teach our teeners to not look down on those who do all sorts of hard, outside work.

This kid was obviously taught this kind of fear by someone in his family.

Shouldn't Michelle Obama have pointed out that it was a baseless fear and that even if Romney wins, his life would go on as before? That certainly would have been the best thing to do.
