just to play devils' advocate

what if steve is a useful dupe for those who wish to manipulate his listeners
they could send him any kind of email to get the desired reaction on the air

this does not mean the facts in the email are correct

remember, those who manipulate others have no conscience

Steven Quayle is a fraud

What a PR stunt this tool pulled off!

NOTICE TO Q-FILES LISTENERS: Last night during Steve's broadcast, he received notification of a close friend's passing. He apologizes for the abrupt departure and will be back on-air this evening."

Re: Steve Quayle just lost it on the air...shut the show down.
Why would it be hard to believe that the death of a close friend is NOT what happened?

Of course, given the things he was speaking of at the time, it is JUST possible that this friend was involved in something else… Maybe it is just a normal thing though? I mean, it happens.

But he most likely should have mentioned that he had bad personal news and had to leave the air.

Hindsight is 20/20 they say….

this example proves how easy it is to cause panic, just by emailing one radio host

use it as a wakeup call
emails cannot be proven as soon as they are read, so why react as though they are "truth" until the facts can be proven?

B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T !!!

I am so pissed that he would add injury to insult by telling the listeners that he dropped off the air because he found out somebody died...even his MOTHER or WIFE!!!

He still needed to have said something!

How about, "Ladies and gentlemen, I have just received personal information about a friend and cannot go on with the show."

No! He is LYING about the real reason he went off the air...is he forgetting who his main audience is? ...or, was?!?

I think it is B.S. too. The whole thing stinks. I've never listened to SQ's show but I visited his site fairly regularly. He has now been put on my questionable list. If it were just a death of a friend, I would think he would have said, "Hey folks, I was just informed of the death of a good friend and will have to stop the show early." What are the odd's of him getting it at this exact time when he was corresponding with the retired launch commander? What does that have to do with anything that he talked about after reading the email? Smells fishy to me.

Peace,

I never listened to his show, but I read news linked at his site and as far as I was concerned, he was at least "semi credible".

After this episode, his ranking on my personal credibility meter....is near zero.

So his reputation is now one of "hoaxster" with me.

listening to the audio now.

uh oh.

ah

oh no, eh, no, no. Oh no.

Ok, I can't read that fast enough, but what I'm reading is not good.

Ladies and gentlemen...heres the thing.....

....

....The correspondance I'm recieving right now is not a good correspondence...please pray again...my deepest concerns have, I think have been realised. I will not go public unti I think I can.

Hmmmmm.

Listen again folks. It does not sound like he's recieved sad news about a friend. It sounds like the email was not a close personal one, but a dark message.

I only listened to it after I knew it was supposed to be a dead friend of his...and to me it did not sound like a dead friend.

Re: Steve Quayle just lost it on the air...shut the show down.
Has anyone gotten a hold of Steve yet? It seems that there is a small chance that this is related to what he was saying…

If it is, then fine…

If it is not, if it is really just a personal thing, he should probably make a statement soon, a "Hey, sorry about that, I did not think THIS would happen, I was worked up over a personal matter. I assure you that this matter does not have impact on the world situation." Or something like that.

If he does not get on this, I fear it is going to hurt him a lot more.

As it is, several people are going to be a bit miffed with him! (There own fault though, as he did not tell them to freak out, they read into thing and did it on their own…)

...I'm reading a couple of really disturbing emails.

I have to sign off.

Those of you who are praying for the generals please do so now.

Unless his friend was a former general who let him have some info in the past.

I just started to read this after working last night and hearing about Steves breakdown on C2C last night. All Norey said was that Steve Quayle just broke down and left his show.

Now I get here and he says its his dead friend?

Many Many people have been listening to this audio (forwards and backwords) and no-one here could just FEEL that it might have been just a private personal issue?

Countless things one can think of if you give them a couple hours to figure something out.

Still keeping my attention on this (and its the only interesting thing on GLP beside "My mom is gay" threads.

Re: Steve Quayle just lost it on the air...shut the show down.
Skip that idea,, I listened, it is not about a dead friend. He explicitly said its about dead generals of the military, he has tried to be a Noah like figure and get the word out, that people have ridiculed him over it and scoffed at his info. He said that he received and email from a friend that was a nuke launcher, the email confirmed what he had expected and it was not good, that these wives have probasbly hugged their husbands for the last time. He then went on to say that he responded to the email from the launch commander asking about a particular level of threat,, then when he got the return email he went off the air in a panic or fearing the outcome.
Sounds like an attack has the green light, whether it is against Iran, or perhaps the "new" 911 scheme of nukin our cities,, We shall see.

Re: Steve Quayle just lost it on the air...shut the show down.
Here's the thing.

If you're out there on the fringes like Quayle is, your reputation is all that you have.

In order to be considered legitimate, you have to avoid hype, fear mongering and being wrong.

So in this case, he has failed on those counts.

If you argue he had no way of knowing it would generate this reaction from his subscribers, then my counter argument would be that he doesn't have much common sense....which even further undermines his legitimacy.

So either way, his goose is cooked credibility wise....like the boy who cried wolf. Who is going to pay any attention to him now? Not me.

My God! Why don't you people get a grip on yourselves. If SQ lost a family member and lied, then time will tell. If he was showboating for ratings, till will tell. In any possible case, time will tell....

I am just kind of saddened that Quayle will be back on the air tonight and will be blaming last night on a dead friend.

Hold on a second,, SQ did what SQ had to do, he obviously got a very disturbing email that shook him up. His source is probably concrete enough that he knows the outcome and its not good. I suspect he did what many of us would do if we were on the phone and an accident appened that needed tending to, he hung up! SQ was in a panic mode after the reply email, his adrenaline was probably rushing and he did what he knew to do. SQ probably contacted his loved ones to explain what he learned, blood is thicker than water,, the listeners being water. I dont blame him, and if this turns out to be a dire scenario, we heard it from SQ first.

If it turns out to be a modern day Orson Wells,, well, he may have lost his listeners for good. No dead relatives or friends would merit the response he gave, was not even related.

When people find out that things are not the way they chose to imagine, it often creates hard feelings.

I would submit that a person finding out a friend died, COULD respond by breaking down. While many of us would not leave the air like that, some of us might!

So, it is the next day, some things have come up….

It is time to communicate, and the sooner the better! I would hope he would have something out before noon…

Don’t let this anger you though, you chose your own reactions, don’t blame others for them.

Calmness will serve us all better in this than anger now.
