So Alabama will have to deal with the crowd in the beginning, but if they can score early and take the crowd out of the game I could see a 28 - 7, or something along those lines. Not like last years game. More like the National Championship game except I'll say LSU gets at least 1 TD. Playing at Death Valley means nothing. Alabama went something like 35 years without losing in Baton Rouge, and has only lost there once since, and we were on probation. I see Saban finally opening up that defensive playbook that he hasn't needed AT ALL this year so far, and dropping the hammer on that rookie quarterback of theirs. Alabama 34-LSU 16 Not doubting a BAMA win but if you say playing at death valley at night means nothing you arent very informed LSU 11-4 vs bama at home since 1982 Well, not completely informed because I underestimated LSU's wins at home in the last 12 years, but pretty informed. Since 1971, Alabama is 16-4-1 against LSU at Baton Rouge. LSU has won 4 of the last 6 games at home, but Alabama was on probation for 3 of those years. You seem to know history pretty well, so you should know that LSU has only been a national title contender for about 12 years now... As for Saban opening up the D playbook, you're right there, since Bama has played shit for teams this year. Come on. They've played National ranked teams...Michigan, Miss St., Arkansas (at the time), and some otehr tough teams like Tenn, Mizzu, Ole Miss, so it's not like they have played UAB or Tulane. Seriously? Michigan.... HORRID. Arkansas LOL... Tennessee is bottom rung as well as Miss and Mizzou... MSU had the best chance of winning so far, but even at that everyone knew MSU wasn't going to. I'm just sayin' most teams won't walk all over these teams but Bama did. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26629326 Yea, because Bama has played so many quality teams this year. Look at the resumes, Florida has a better one. Also, we had a really bad game against Georgia, it happens to every team at some point. The only problem is, we showed we didn't have what it took to overcome that adversity with a sophmore QB that has started all of 7 games. I firmly believe that Bama is over rated this year. Not too many teams that could beat Bama this year, they are still a really good football team but not as good as last year. Teams that I think have a good chance of beating Bama: LSU Florida Oregon Other teams that could contend against them ND KState FSU aTm Teams that could actually challenge Bama: Oregon and KState...that's it. I think they are actually a better over all team than last year. No disrespect bro. I just love talkin' College ball. Danny Sheridan, the most respected college football oddsmaker in Vegas, said if he had to handicap a national championship game right now, Alabama would be favored by 4 against Oregon, and 14 against KState and Notre Dame. He didn't even give odds on the others. Not overrated. This defense is the best I've seen, and I've been closely watching Alabama play football for 30 years. So you're saying this is the best Bama D in the last 30 years or the best D in CFB in that last 30 years? It's close between this team and the '92 team for best defense I've seen from Alabama. Don't know about other teams. Anybody come to mind that was better defensively? John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. |

You need to realize that the SEC hasn't always been a defensive powerhouse... In the 90's starting with Spurrier at Florida, the SEC was an offensive conference. It's only been since about 2002 that the SEC turned into a defensive conference. However I do know that there are always the posers that will challenge the SEC for the crown (Which isn't just in the BCS era, the SEC dominance goes back decades, probably from the late 80's to now)... Usually they do find out the hard way, but that doesn't mean every non SEC team will... Mark my words, if Oregon plays Bama, Oregon will win and win BIG. |
