Yes, I'd feed people and help in ways that I can. HOWEVER, that does NOT give people the right to loot and destroy my business or home.

THEY LOOT ...>WE SHOOT. No different than if a friend needed a place to stay. I'd give them a bed and what not. HOWEVER, when I see them STEALING my shit, raping my wife or cat, then I shoot them.

Just because I am a decent person, does not mean I have to let you DESTROY everything I value or have worked-for.

Looting should be discouraged, but it's certainly not something to kill people over, unless your own life is in danger.

Loot and I would shoot. If the law would allow I would shoot home invaders on the spot too but the law loves the criminal and not the one defending the property here.

The grocery stores were all emptied out before the hurricane started. It's pure BS to think that there are looters ready to steal bread for their starving families from empty grocery stores.

No, looters are looking for easier scores where they can get electronics and anything of value that can be sold for drugs.

BTW - post SHTF, looting needs to be punishable with death. Because looting is slow murder. If looters take all my food, then I starve to death. Better that they die and I continue to eat.

I agree. But don't you think the goodness and decency you exhibit by feeding people would be returned to you? Wouldn't your kindness and generosity work to protect you to a certain extent?

In times of extreme desperation and crisis, looters stock up on stolen flat screen TV's, basketball shoes, and car stereo equipment.

In the rare case where they steal from grocery stores, well, they're stealing someone ELSE'S food. If someone comes to my home to steal my food, I will shoot them repeatedly. It's MY food and survival, after all; I've worked for it.

Maybe. I don't believe that EVERYONE falls in line however and is nice in the deepest of hearts. There will always be those that rape, steal or kill. Sad, but it is a numbers game I guess.
