I suffered through two hurricanes in one month in 2004 in southeast Florida. No power or anything shut off from the world for weeks very lonely and isolated. If you think the govt is gonna help ur just fooling yourself. On your own. We never saw national guard, red cross, nothing. Wake call for spoiled rotten new Yorkers this is just the beginning. If u r prepared u better be ready to protect ur shit.

Everything will be done to get Manhattan going again.

Keeping up appearances and all that.

This is what makes me think the poster about the transformer station might be right. It doesn't look good to keep power off in Manhattan too long.
