He's having a hard time distinguishing between his current a previous characters.. hence the teleprompters and scripted agendas are beginning to blend & blur together.

He's becoming confused, hesitant & maybe even a little uncomfortable with what's to unfold in the final scene.

I saw him this morning on TV. He looks like he has had it. Completely losing all pleasantness of expression, looking angry and haggard. Who wouldn't after all this time campaigning? Who wouldn't?
