Humility is one of the things the ego cannot find. Those who opposed Jesus had none!

When we realize we are more than our ego, we see that ego is meaningless and destructive. I am reminded of the story of Jesus washing the feet of His disciples.

Yes, i think that took great humility to do that. I've been reading the Gospel according to Mark again. Several of his miracle stories show people who have completly humbled themselves before God.

I believe that is a common characteristic throughout the New Testament, and possibly one of the most valuable lessons taught by Jesus.

What I'm sure you will refuse to believe is that people can have humility without believing in Jesus.

The message left two thousand years ago qualifies the subject title. We, as a global society, are on the precipice of maturity. We had experienced two millenia of ignorance and intolerance and are about to come into realization of the message of unconditional love, the basis of the Golden era, the shift to evolutionary light speed.

Actually, I do not reject that notion. However, if someone truly walks in humility, when they hear The Truth they should accept it.

Well fine if you are discussing a matter of civil policy i suppose, but when the 'other' has no intention of being open minded, but is fixated upon subjugating you, as in say Islam or Communism for instance - your open mindedness and tolerance is simply a weakness that will be mercilessly exploited by a predatory mind.

That is why you need discernment to know when something is evil and needs to be fought tooth and nail.

No, because you're saying, The Truth = Jesus, and that is NOT an absolute truth.

It does not matter what name you call the Truth - it proves Itself without our help. Only you and God know what is truly in your heart, others can only imagine or guess.

What everyone here is missing from the plight of this post is realizing the lack of perspective(maturity) and experience in the face of too much information..... means we're screwed.

The information programing people cannot really replace real experience.
So as more and more information is convincingly pushed, divisions deepen. And makes you easily distracted and redirected.

Prepare while you can people.

but what if too much information will lead the rational/logical part of the brain to overload, and will have as an effect the activation of the heart/intuitive part of brain, which does not have any problem with too much information (because it is based upon parallel/pattern reasoning not serial/algorithmic)

in some people that is. you are right for a great majority, i'm afraid

The quantity of information pushed does not correlate to quality. While there are many out there that desire to mislead others for their personal gain, maturity allows you to recognize the truth when you see it. When you no longer allow others to instill fear in your heart, then you begin to resist manipulation and deceit. It's not always easy, but the lies are often recycled from previous lies that you've already uncovered - you must recognize the lie when you see it, it often has motive for company.

mental discernment, according to the actual biological capacity of a human being, should be a skill as common as talking.

I agree, and as long as there is arrogance in the world, there will be ignorance along with it. I believe even without a proper education through traditional means, life will inevitably educate us. The question is how willing we are to learn :-)
