op you are one of the most intelligent people on this forum, LOL!!!! seriously!!!!

watch the animals, good advice. let me ask you something.

i too have been watching the clouds, and though there is big storm off canada/alaska, i am in portland oregon and we should be having winds moving differently in light of the existence of this storm. i too am noticing lower layer moving north, and upper layer (close above) moving east. definitely thought that was weird. been doing for weeks now.

have you also noticed geese flying north, as opposed to south, this year? autumn equinox is about when i heard the first geese, around midnight. till about 4 AM they headed north, all night, and for the next few weeks...never heard them during the day, just at night. always going north. wtf.

this morning i did see a small gaggle heading north in the morning, but they could also be local geese.

anyway, the moment i first heard them i knew the weather would change (i also heard a frog pipe up for the first time ever, when the first geese went over, so i knew something was up) it did within ten minutes...from hot summer to freezing ass cold for weeks. we now have fairly warm rain but cold at night.

Thats weird. I never really thought about the geese until you mentioned it. Ya I have seen them flying north also. They are still hanging out around here alot also. Another thing to is the Trumpet Swans are still here. Spotted a whole group of them in a field the other day grazing on the grass in a wet field. They are definetly over due to leave.

Two weeks ago the Crows were grouping up also. They say when they leave then winters on. They are very smart. There were about 1000 of them no shit. They headed North when they flew out of the valley.
