might you try buying them in bulk ( wholesale club costco, bj's) if thats what tickles your pallet

hotdogs are gross but you can get a pack of 10 for $1.20 here :-)

It's expensive, because if you don't want to eat local Chinese food every day, to get proper Western food you generally have to order/buy imported stuff.

So, think the price of food you pay, but then add on shipping, customs etc etc - plus very high rents in the major cities - prices get higher than what you'd pay in Australia, US, Canada, NZ etc.

Oh, I like Chinese People.

Most are good. I have rarely met any genuine assholes here, and I speak enough Chinese to see through veneers and assess their character. Most are genuine, generous, and work hard.

Of course there are some knobheads too, but not that many in the grand scheme per capita.

I shop at a grocery store that has a meat clearance section. They take their meats that have sell buy dates on that day, and mark them extremely cheap. If I find something I really like, I buy them out and fill up the freezer.

Recent buys.

Land O lakes thin slice meat for 20 cents a package.

Beef hotdogs for 49 cents a package

Foster Farms turkey bologna (1 pound) 2 for 98 cents.

The trick is knowing how, where, and when to shop. And of course having a freezer to store it in.

For real meat, get a bunch of friends together and go buy an entire butchered beef. The price and quality will be better then you get in the grocery store.

A roasted whole dog! Fucking hilarious!

Prolly a package of 8 dogs. I prefer smoked venison pork jalapeno sausage on a hot dog bun with:

sauerkraut and guldens mustard

or

chili cheese and onions

Cut the sausage to hot dog length and then split it down the middle to make it the same volume as a hot dog. Brown it in a pan on the split open side and turn a brown the skin side. Add the fixins to the pan to heat everything. Put it in the toasted hot dog bun and enjoy.
