I'm going to go with what Jesse Ventura pointed out. Remember right after the 2008 election all those Mormon TV ads started to play where someone would say what they do for a living and the ad would end with ".....And I'm Mormon"? There getting us ready for a Mormon as president, because it's not like the '08 elction when blacks could guilt trip whites into voting for ohappy

Re: Bizarre Factors That Predict a Presidential Election
This is stupid, you can't predict an election using those stupid little "fun facts". Obama is just putting shit like this out there so everyone THINKS he's going to win so the undecided voters don't want to vote for a loser so they'll vote for him.

Pretty fucking petty of him. I hope to God that he loses. Communist Kenyan Muslim dictators don't belong in America. On a good note it is going to be close here in PA! In my entire town I have seen 1 Obama sign. All up and down every street are Romney signs, and this area is poorer than the counties that surround where I am now so I can't imagine how Romney heavy those places are.

They have both been pumping money into ads on TV this week because it is going to be close and nobody expected that.

Re: Bizarre Factors That Predict a Presidential Election
What is so special about November 6th if you're a REPUBLICAN? A strange phenomenon has taken place in Presidential politics ever since election day was standardized in 1845. Whenever a Presidential Election falls on the 6th of November, the Republican Candidate for President has won the Election! This Tuesday, November 6th will be the 8th time Elections have been held on this day since Abraham Lincoln was elected on November 6th, 1860. The last time occurred November 6th, 1984 when President Ronald Reagan defeated Walter Mondale.

After reading this I thought I would share.

6.Redskins Rule
If the Redskins win their last home game before election day, then the party in power gets to hold on to the White House. If the Redskins lose, no matter how close the game, the opposition party takes over. You could write it off as blind chance if, say, it worked for three or four elections ... but the rule has incredibly held true for every damn election since 1940, except one in 2004, when the Green Bay Packers beat the Redskins but George W. Bush held on to the presidency. The fact that this was the one exception actually makes it weirder, because as some of you vividly remember, Bush was president but had actually lost the popular vote in 2000 (winning only due to the Supreme Court craziness over Florida's recount). As the guy credited with discovering the theory, Steve Hirdt, points out, if you make the rule refer not to the party in power, but to the party that won the popular vote in the previous election.

5.Halloween Masks
According to CNN Money in 2004, Halloween mask sales have accurately predicted the winner of every U.S. presidential election since 1980. This method was upheld in 2004 and again in 2008. And in case you're wondering, according to the good folks at BuyCostumes.com, we're looking at four more years of an Obama nation.

4.The Kid Vote
the Scholastic News election poll has correctly called 15 of the past 17 presidential elections, including every single presidential election since 1964. Their only misses were in 1960.The best part is that Scholastic publishes their results weeks ahead of the actual election. All this jibber-jabbering about polls and hiring fortune tellers to read tea leaves to tell us who will win is pointless. The kids have already spoken. It's going to be Obama.

3.How Vigo,Indiana Votes
Vigo County has correctly picked the winner of every presidential election since 1956, in most cases within 3 percent of the popular vote. So, what's the secret to Vigo County's success as a weather vane? Part of the reason is that Vigo sits in the belt of what's known as the mean center of United States population.

2.The Summer Olympics
Almost every single time the Summer Olympics were hosted by a country that had previously won a hosting bid, the incumbent party won the popular vote that election. Likewise, every time the games were hosted someplace new, voters thought that it was time for a change and chose a president from a different party. That's a success record of 12 out of 13, with the only miss being in 1988.
And since London hosted the Olympics back in 1908 and won the bid to host in 1944, we can bet that Obama will win re-election this November. Either a Republican or a third-party candidate will win in 2016 after Brazil hosts its first-ever Summer Olympics, so there's plenty of time for Ms. Palin, Mr. Cain and Mr. Trump to study up.

1.The Oscar Connection
It works like this: During an election year, go back and find out who won the Academy Award for Best Picture the year before. If the movie has a downbeat ending where the system fails (bad guy goes free, good guy loses, etc.), you can plan on the incumbent party losing. If, on the other hand, the movie portrays the system working in the end -- a child is saved from falling through the cracks, a criminal is brought to justice, a gym montage delivers a truly buff Rocky just like it promised it would -- then the incumbent party is good to go.
The 2011 winner was The Artist, in which a struggling actor makes the transition from silent movies to talkies, thanks to the love of a good woman and the good graces of the people who always adored him. But in a shocking twist ending, he is also revealed to be French.

So does this mean 4 more years of Obama? Looks like it, does it mean I want 4 more years of Obama?
No, but you have to admit these facts are crazy weird.
What do you think about it all?
 Quoting: BlondeDramaQueen

I beleive this election is an exception to this theory, seeing how we are in much worse shape than ever before in history and people are waking up this year to the corruption of the government, so I say that even though these things may point in theory to obamas reelection that it won't happen there's No way the people will put that evil fuck back in the white house, the only way he will win is voter fraud. And if he does win there wont be any elections in 2016, Obama will reign the supreme leader and never allow another election, Obama will destroy America and destroy most of the American citizens, America will become a third world country, it wil be over. Now do I beleive Romney will make it better? Well yes and no I beleive he has better business sense and could create jobs, but I also beleive in the bible and if you read revelations what is happening now is suppose to be happening now, and if you beleive in revelations of the bible then you would know there's no way to change it, it's going to happen no matter who is president according to god, so I beleive either way we are doomed and the world is coming to an end, some things just have to happen and come to pass before it will get better. So I don't care who wins as far as making this better goes because it will get worse no matter what, I just don't want that sneaky bastard Obama in power, I don't want him to be the one to bring us down I can't stand him.peace

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19076628

dissent is the highest form of patriotism. obama is only a man. he isn't America.

A free republic doesn't operate on the fuhrerprinzip. No matter how much you might want that.

The Führerprinzip, German for "leader principle", prescribed the fundamental basis of political authority in the governmental structures of the Third Reich. This principle can be most succinctly understood to mean that "the Führer's word is above all written law" and that governmental policies, decisions, and offices ought to work toward the realization of this end.[1] In actual political usage, it refers mainly to the practice of dictatorship within the ranks of a political party itself, and as such, it has become an earmark of political Fascism.

Here is another example:

7-Election

7-11 is using a very unscientific way to determine the President of the United States.

7-11 is conducting their own poll to determine the winner by using coffee cups.

But can brew predict if Mitt Romney or President Barack Obama will win the 2012 Presidential Election?

Red and blue cups were stacked neatly outside the 7-11 Mobile Oval Office that rolled into town Saturday morning.

The tour bus has visited with voters in 20 major cities since September, asking them to choose who will to sit in the real Oval Office.

The poll is unscientific but 7-11 says its has successfully predicted the winner of the past three presidential campaigns.

"We get within three or four margin points, it's that close," said Ray Kruckner, market manager of Arizona 7-11 stores.

Current tally: Obama 59% - 41% Romney
