Hatred of humanity does not make a thing evil. Man is evil. Loving man for the evil he does is evil. You're trying to understand a divine conflict from a perspective entirely antipodal to the forces carrying it out. The evil element is within you; it doesn't have to be.

Man is basically benign, no different from any animal. Herd enough of em together and they become a panicky, violent, unruly mass of meaningless moving parts.
