From an ex-military friend of mine in SoCal this pm: "Rumor has it that something big is about to happen. Here at camp Pendleton they are calling up marines with non combat MOSs to train at 29 Palms and they aren't expecting to be deployed."

When I asked what the rumors were: "The rumor is US financial collapse"...
