My church is Protestant and gets a little annoyed when I voice my opinion that they are NOT the same. There are compelling arguments for either side. I prefer to believe that Jesus is the SON of God. He said so way too many times to disbelieve him, in my opinion. The trinity to me is God, the Son and the Holy Spirit. For me, the Holy Spirit is God and Jesus, combined. Good luck trying to figure it out. |

GOD DECLARES HIS SON IS GOD Heb 1;8 Jesus declares Himself as God John 10:30 the demons recognized Him as God Man recognized Him as God John 20:28, many other declarations in Scripture Colossians 2;9 In Him the fulness of Deity John 1:1 and 1:14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God and the Word was with God.... Throughout Scripture Jesus is the Word. and Genesis 1 In the beginning, God... Throughout Old and New Testaments, I Am is designated as the Creator, Living God, and Jesus describes Himself as I Am He said, "Unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins." What we believe about Jesus, and what we do about Him determines our eternal destiny. |

And I believe it was John the Baptist's words that kind of confused everything. Quoting: Miggy He spoke of Jesus saying, He was born before I was born. John was several months older than Jesus so that's where I think some of the confusion comes to play. John the Baptist was conveying that Jesus was in the beginning. "in the beginning, God." "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God and was with God." that all things were created by Him and through Him...that He is Creator...He is Almighty, He is God...." There was no confusion for those who heard John....they knew what he was saying to them. |

To worship Yeshua as God is Idolatry. God is one, not three! Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD. Deuteronomy 6:4 Just taking ONE verse is dangerous. What does the entire Bible say. God is the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, Jesus is God. Jesus is the I AM. From Genesis 1 through Rev 22: 21 the entirety of the Bible tells us that Jesus is God. Jesus is Lord, Jesus is sovereign. Miss that and you miss God's point entirely. Unless you believe that Jesus is God, the great I AM, the Messiah, you will die in your sins. From the lips of Jesus |
