No Dhimmi (OP) User ID: 18280111 United States 11/04/2012 07:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | During that same final week, Richard Allen resigned from the Reagan campaign for an alleged misuse of influence during his Nixon White House days. The same day Carter’s congressional liaison, Frank Moore, resigned after repeating the unsubstantiated story of the Ayatollah’s cancer. On Friday of that week the final economic indicator of the campaign showed inflation still seriously on the rise. And on Sunday morning, November 1, the Iranian parliament announced their conditions for freeing the American hostages. Jimmy Carter immediately abandoned campaigning and appeared on national television in the early evening to repeat much of what the public had been hearing all day. It was a week, in effect, with much that could affect the choices made by voters. ALL relevant scriptures that include a time factor prove no pre-trib rapture. Over 50 verses! Jericho9 User ID: 26878518 United States 11/04/2012 07:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The polls showed the race as very close. Reagan trailed Carter in most polls, and even the final Gallup poll showed Reagan just 3 points ahead. But he actually won by 10. Could the race have been decided in the hectic final week? Quoting: No Dhimmi Mitofsky reports that, after the election, CBS News and the New York Times re-interviewed the respondents they had surveyed in the final pre-election poll and found that “approximately one person in seven said they did something different than what they had said just prior to the election.” Not only did Carter lose the remaining undecided voters in that final week, but some of his supporters lost faith in him and switched sides. [link to polipundit.com] People needed to know this. The media was in bed with Carter back then and reported skewed polls. They are doing the same thing now. 5 Stars and Last Edited by Jericho9 on 11/04/2012 07:52 PM |

They allegedly made a backroom deal to hold the hostages until after the election. No doubt Bush would have played a key role in this. SkepticalWordSmith User ID: 24552012 United States 11/04/2012 08:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some context for 1980 from a Shill. There was only one debate between Carter and Reagan and it was less than a week before the election. Reagan out preformed Carter by a wide margin. He cleaned Carter's clock, and it was especially powerful because everyone expected Reagan to lose. There were also a lot fewer pollsters in 1980 than today. We have more polling data than ever before. Also, despite Republicans wishful thinking, Romney is no Ronald Reagan. And Obama is no Jimmy Carter. Romney doesn't have that ability to connect with people like Reagan did. If he did, this race would have been over long ago. Romney has no businesses losing this election, but if he does (and unless most of the polls are wrong he will) it will be because he was such an awful candidate. This election is a lot more like 2004 than 1980. An unpopular incumbent who has no business winning facing an incredibly weak challenger. Could all the polls end up being wrong? Sure. Anything is possible. But it is very unlikely. Shillin' like a Villain. |

"Romney doesn't have that ability to connect with people like Reagan did....if he did, this race would have been over long ago...." If Reagan had so much "connectivity" with the voters, WHY DID THE POLLS HAVE HIM LOSING JUST A WEEK BEFORE?!?!?!?! Quit your wishful thinking, and face the facts. And for the record, *I* think Romney is sounding more "Reagan-esque" every time I hear him (the closer it gets to election day). |
