Message Subject The election of Obama proves that the electoral college does not work.

The reason that our founding fathers put in an electoral college was to prevent people like Obama from being elected. They knew that the media would hype someone that was not truly worthy of serving so the idea of having an electoral college make the final decision was put in. If the electoral college had worked, they would have overridden the popular vote and elected McCain.

Obama had no managerial experience coming into the election in '08. None. That means that even a drive-thru manager would have been more qualified than Obama. The toughest job in the world has been said to be President of the US. How does someone with no managerial experience manage a country? How does someone with a drug background get elected? How does someone connected to terrorists get the nod? These and many more questions should have been addressed by the media. Instead, they hyped Obama as the Second Coming. Obama's shady background should have caused the electoral college to override the popular vote and elect McCain. Since they didn't, there is no point to keeping it in place.

wow, you're a moron. i'm going to address the first paragraph and ignore the second because it's no more than right wing cry baby stuff. let's try some facts and see what they say.

2008 election:
Obama received the most votes for a presidential candidate in American history

Obama won the popular and electoral vote by the largest margin in 12 years.

the last time a candidate won the popular vote and lost the election was when al gore lost the electoral college to lil' bush in 2000. get your facts straight moron

The reason why you ignored the second paragraph is because it can not be factually refuted. Obama had no managerial experience coming into office. None. That means that he was not qualified to hold office. As such, the electoral college should have overridden the popular vote and elected McCain. Sorry.

true, because it's all opinion. that's why it can't be factually refuted, opinions aren't facts. maybe in your fucked up head they are facts, but i'm working with reality here. you are not
