it's funny you ask, i have had the same exact thought, about that thing about God punishing generations of people from the 10 commandments. i had relatives who were the bad guys in WW2; and, i have thought that could be it. But, then I have relatives who are perfectly happy and perfectly successful. So, why would that just single me out? So then i think that isnt it. I'm still a christian here, I have no idea what i did to be cursed like i am, if my luck were as good as it is bad, i'd be a billionaire living in a 100 million dollar mansion right now. All i can guess is im being punished for something or other. working off bad karma. Only someone who's cursed like i am can comprehend what i am talking about, people dont like to admit how much good luck plays a part in success in life, and i have none. ...
I was a born again Christian for the first 22 years of my life. I tried that route. I gave him plenty of opportunity to show up and help me out.... never happened. I really drank the kool-aid too. I was definitely a fundamentalist. Had as many problems back then as I do now, so religion wasn't really working in my favor.
