As far as religion goes, try this trick. Instead of picking one religion, research a few of them and find what messages they share in common. These common messages are what you really need to know to redeem yourself, not the systemic religion itself. I might get flac for it, but I recommended reading the law of one, as I think that can really help build your universal mindset. As with all things, don't take it immediately as truth. Wait a while, see if it clicks, and if you have a good feeling about it, then was meant for you. If not, move on. Trust your instincts, you have them for a reason
