I fear the fires are about to begin.

I am in Mexico, and the problem as I see it is not laziness, but so called sophisticated systems of energy distribution and illogical networks that are efficient, ie idiot proof, yet vulnerable when things go wrong. Survival is a function of depending on simple systems, that are flexible and easily managed..

Many times I've warned that if there were an EMP nuke attack, that fires would be the big killer. This is like that because people are without electricity and will accidentally start fires.

In an EMP nuke attack, fire trucks would not be able to respond since their electrical system could be fried resulting in HUGE fires and terrific smoke, that could wipe out entire sections of a city or more, killing many as multiple fires from different directions make it impossible to escape.

What is likely to happen now will provide a small but potentially horrific look at what it could be like, only it would be much much worse after an EMP attack.

Multiple fires without an EMP attack could be horrible in its own right.

I too think the coming Nor'Easter will spawn fires. Historically, large fires have consumed entire cities before, it can happen again.

The only reason we haven't seen such things in our generation is due to excellent civil order. But that civil order is falling apart in the hard hit areas.

Does anyone reading this have contacts with stores such as Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc where the store may be convinced to donate those instant heat warmers?

They're generally used by hunters or those needing to be outdoors in cold weather.

They are non-flamable, produce instant heat and last for several hours.

I don't know the name of them but I would like to write the company that manufactures them and ask for a hefty donation to be distributed to victims in that area.

If someone could provide this information I will write the letter as soon as possible.
