I was addicted to porn and I can tell you that excessive porn viewing and masturbation can cause problems. I am not religious at all, so my warning is not based on any moral code. Just my own experiences.

1) You needed to watch harder and harder stuff to get aroused. In ten years I graduated from vanilla hetero porn pictures to videos of fisting, electrotorture and bestiality. Straight, gay, lesbian or transsexual, it was all good. When my addiction was at its worst, I really had trouble finding porn that would be both legal and kinky enough to excite me. When you need to watch muscular hairy leather gays performing elbow-deep anal fisting with an electric probe inserted into the fistee's urethra to get hard and come, you know you have a problem.

2) Real-life sex became near impossible. The clumsiness of real-life sex, its vanilla nature and the normal pressures of a new relationship made me practically impotent. Also getting to know her better and love her removed the fears and uncertainties that also affected my "performance".
