When did they discover animal skin for clothing, but how did they survive before clothing and fire? Obviously there had to be a point in time where they didn't have these things to keep them warm.

Animal skin was used to stay warm, but they had to be cold in the first place to invent a way to cover their bodies and stay warm. And when fire wasn't invented yet, how did they eat and keep enough muscle fat to stay warm? Did they eat raw meat, and if so how didn't they get sick? So many questions, it doesn't make any sense to me. You can't survive 24 hrs out in the cold winter without clothes on.

I'm no scientist but isn't this what migration is for? I think there's always been somewhere warm enough to support our ancestors. They must have moved around.

We have been domesticated to stay where we live with AC/Heater. Back then the first signs of cold coming meant...."Hey Cave Brotheren, remember that cave down near that warm area last winter, Let us start moving there". At least something a long those lines. Migration was a big part of how they found a location to call "Home". Or to create "Home".

To be clear I'm talking about our tiny ancient primate ancestors. The ones that were more monkey like and got much of their protein from scavenging skulls and braining them on rocks. It's been a real long time since humankind wrapped itself up and began using fire.

Perhaps the keeping warn with animal skin was a learned behavior to act as camouflager to catch other animals then it came the norm. Just a hypothesis.
