2 year old boy ripped apart by African dogs at a Pittsburg zoo

This is certainly tragic and I shudder to think what that little boy went through in his last seconds on this earth. HOWEVER, I'm pretty sure there were signs warning people not to hang over the railing and that these were dangerous, predatory animals. For liability purposes I would nearly guarantee it.

How long before we see a wrongful death suit filed by the parents or relatives? Even though you would have to be a completely brain dead retard to not know that was dangerous. The sad part is that I'm sure the zoo would pay out just to keep the bad press at a minimum. This is what's wrong with this country. Lawsuits against a business for their OWN personal negligence just to make some quick money.

I'm not saying the mother intentionally threw him over the ledge to make a buck, but now it is an unfortunate opportunity for the parents to live high on the hog in the wake of their son's death. My guess is that if there is a lawsuit, they are probably on welfare.

i saw a video once of a kid that fell into a cage with a silverback and the kid never got harmed at all....silverbacks are such gentle creatures not like African wilddogs,man they even take kills of lions..

i was just talking to my dad about this, he said he saw something on the news about it earlier today. i asked him "what kind of parent does that with their kid? puts them up on the rail like that?!" because its a no-brainer to me. you dont do something that stupid and irresponsible with your children. his answer? he said "someone who doesnt really want their kid, or to be a parent. thats who."

that poor boy. i guess at the very least, he wont have to live with pain or suffering from surviving an incident like that. but i really feel for the mom too since she'll have to live with this for the rest of her life. but what my dad said really makes me think too, you know?

I agree. She probably was just thinking "I want him to get a closer look at the cute little dogs" but at what expense? She didn't -think- more. She played into that instant gratification thinking humanity has been bogged down into that probably got her pregnant with the kid in the first place.

When I was a toddler, in South America, my father used to place me on rails that way at Zoos and allot on these places we call "Malecon" in peru.
It's where there is a rock tunnel on the ocean so the water come to you hard and the waves hit high and hard and if you fall, you're done. Your head will hit a rock with the wave and you'll be killed.

I recall now, I was freightened when my father did that and sometimes he would actually scare me on purpose.

Later came to find out, my dad was high half the time, and a prototype manic.

Came to the US as a child, learned a few things, never talked to him again, and have my own children and I'd NEVER do the kind of stupid shit my father did to me.

I out learned the ignorance of lower class stupidity.

I hope that little toddler went fast. Maybe the dogs bit him on the neck or head and he immediately went. I'd hate to think he suffered moulding pain. Omg, how horrible.

Why didn't the mother and/or boyfriend jump in there? How were they able to just stand there and watch their son get mauled to death and eaten? As a parent, of course I wouldn't dangle my child in front of a pack of animals, but if my son was to fall in that cage I would have gone in to at least try to help him. The article should be about a dead Mother too, she should have died trying to help her son.

You would think that would be an instinctive thing to do. Just like pushing your child away from an oncoming car and taking the brunt of the collision.

My guess is they ripped the baby apart so quickly that the mother was too afraid to go in after it.

They shot and killed one of the dogs, surprised the cop haters and the animal lovers aren't bitching about it...
