They are truly wonderful creatures, and very beautiful. I could be wrong, but I think they have one of if not the top hunting percentage in the animal kingdom. Quoting: Mrbillybadass Yes, I read the dogs are endangered. The mom made a terrible mistake, I cannot imagine how sick she must feel. You have to feel for her. She will live with her stupidity every day for the rest of her life. It's heart-wrenching. I hope they don't put down any more wild dogs, though. The zoo is closed today. I hope they are not contemplating something like this. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed… |

darkwolf007 User ID: 3974719 United States 11/05/2012 05:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A mother's attempt to give her two-year-old son a better view of wild African dogs turned into a "horrific" tragedy at the Pittsburgh Zoo after the boy fell into the exhibit and was killed by a pack of the animals as relatives and bystanders looked on. Quoting: Leslie Zevo [link to abcnews.go.com] I have strong doubts that the mother was being kind. She most likely got sick and tired of her little boy and *pushed* a little too much and *thud* goes the little boy while she giggles to herself as her little boy gets ripped to bloody shreads. Too bad there's no Youtube videos of this for us to watch. With such a thing, we'd be able to determine if the mother was truly that diabolical or if she had accidentally let her son be ripped apart by those wild dogs. Are the animals at fault for consuming the little boy? Nope! It's the mother's fault of course! If the zoo actually fed the animals more, more than likely nothing would of ever happened in the way of horrors. They'd probably rough housed the little boy but then again that's what alot of wild animals do for fun. It's VERY good that the little boy's dead though. If that had saved him, the little boy would most definitely become quite the burden on his family, especially his murderous mother who would of most definitely attempt to murder him again at a later time, and on society as well. It's a hidden blessing though. He's dead so his soul will now rest. If he had been saved, he'd been screaming endlessly in his mind and noone would ever be able to help him... but the assistance suicide people anyways. Now let's be happy that the little boy's doing alot better now dead. As for the mother... there really should be an investigation into whether she murdered him or if it was an accident. Conspiracy Theorist is nothing more than a derogatory title used to dismiss a critical thinker. A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him, saying, 'You are mad; you are not like us." -- St. Anthony The Great Social Credit Loser here. |

I'm not saying it would have been a smart thing for an adult to do but the thought of watching a 2 year old boy being mauled to death while being helpless from above - that will drive some to take action even if it risks their own safety. I wonder how the dogs may have responded to a much larger target. The boy was easy prey for them. What if multiple adults had jumped down? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 26789990 Netherlands 11/05/2012 05:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I was a toddler, in South America, my father used to place me on rails that way at Zoos and allot on these places we call "Malecon" in peru. It's where there is a rock tunnel on the ocean so the water come to you hard and the waves hit high and hard and if you fall, you're done. Your head will hit a rock with the wave and you'll be killed. I recall now, I was freightened when my father did that and sometimes he would actually scare me on purpose. Later came to find out, my dad was high half the time, and a prototype manic. Came to the US as a child, learned a few things, never talked to him again, and have my own children and I'd NEVER do the kind of stupid shit my father did to me. I out learned the ignorance of lower class stupidity. I hope that little toddler went fast. Maybe the dogs bit him on the neck or head and he immediately went. I'd hate to think he suffered moulding pain. Omg, how horrible. IF I were his mom, i'd just fucking kill myself. I couldn't live w that shit. No way. |

How were they able to just stand there and watch their son get mauled to death and eaten? As a parent, of course I wouldn't dangle my child in front of a pack of animals, but if my son was to fall in that cage I would have gone in to at least try to help him. The article should be about a dead Mother too, she should have died trying to help her son. |

Get a Bungee cord, a pole, and a harness sized for a 2 year old. Swing your 2 year old out over the wild dogs and bounce it up and down over the wild dogs sort of like playing a fish. I can just see the dogs leaping and snapping at the target. Don't try and steal my idea, I'm writing up a business plane right now. |

Those dogs are vicious wild animals. Wolf packs kill Grizzlies. Wild Dogs in Africa kill lions. I have no idea why the woman would do that with her kid. She should be charged. Just like the woman in New York that was driving around with her kids on the roof of her car in the hurricane. I think these women can't be that stupid, they just don't want to take care of their kids anymore. Similar age as well, 2-4, thats a hard age on parents but if you don't want to deal with it, don't have kids. |
KungPowMeowMeow User ID: 11092695 United States 11/05/2012 06:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is certainly tragic and I shudder to think what that little boy went through in his last seconds on this earth. HOWEVER, I'm pretty sure there were signs warning people not to hang over the railing and that these were dangerous, predatory animals. For liability purposes I would nearly guarantee it. How long before we see a wrongful death suit filed by the parents or relatives? Even though you would have to be a completely brain dead retard to not know that was dangerous. The sad part is that I'm sure the zoo would pay out just to keep the bad press at a minimum. This is what's wrong with this country. Lawsuits against a business for their OWN personal negligence just to make some quick money. I'm not saying the mother intentionally threw him over the ledge to make a buck, but now it is an unfortunate opportunity for the parents to live high on the hog in the wake of their son's death. My guess is that if there is a lawsuit, they are probably on welfare. "Fortune, honour, beauty, youth are but blossoms dying. Wanton pleasures, doting love are but shadows flying." ---Thomas Campion |
