For those unfamiliar with the money line and didn't want to read the longer article, the -250 after the Democrats means that you have to wager $250 to win $100[]/b] if you wager on the Democrats to capture the White House. You do not have to wager that much money, however, as you can wager $37.50 to win $15 or $50 to win $20. You are risking twice as much as you will win, which is often the case when betting on a solid favorite.


The +210 after the Republicans means that you will win $210 if you risk $100 and again, you aren't requited to wager that much. You can wager $10 to win $21 or risk $20 to win $42. You are essentially risking $10 for every $17 you hope to win.

Sounds like a poker hand I played a few days ago...
This nice lady with a huge Southern Bell hairdo...and an Ace High Club Flush, was counting her newly won chips in her head...even when the board was paired...She got me and another player to put all their chips in the pot...I check called her twice from under the gun, Check raised on the river once the third player was all-in...when she re-raised me, she had this "Gotcha tuff-guy", now yer all-in look on her face...

When I turned a full house, to the usual "Wow" and "Damn" type reactions....pretty sure even her hair deflated along with her stack and chip lead...

When she got up to leave a couple of quick "nothing" hands later...she was still stunned it all happened so fast.

She didn't get upset or anything, seemed like she was a well seasoned player, good player for sure anyway, so anyone who's played a lot of poker has been hit by a frieght train hand before...but I suspect the Liberal's reaction isn't going to be nearly as subdued when they get flattened tonight...

I made some nice coin on Bush/Gore. The early exit polls had Gore kicking ass, and I bought Bush for 15 cents or so, then sold him back out at 85 cents late in the day.

I would be buying Romney here. The fact that someone in the UK who knows jackshit about the what is actually happening here is taking shit odds on Obama should tell you that it is a decent bet now to take other side. You certainly might still lose but the risk/reward is certainly better than laying money on Obama.
