I had that same thing happen to me too, OP, but I wasn't paralyzed. I was just trying to take a nap one afternoon. It was the most awesome feeling, running up and down my spine. Never experienced anything like it in my life.

Hey OP, I have had the same experience over the last couple of years. It started in 2010 when suddenly, just like you said, I felt this enormous energy along my spine (felt like being zapped by 1 mil volts). Some mental pictures were associated with this experience. I was quite shocked for some days... Over the last two years I would guess it happened about 3-5 times to me (although in the most recent experience I felt as though I had more control).

The kundalini explanation makes sense to me. It started after all, after I became interested in spiritual practices.

Do not be afraid by it, rather try to learn and practice spiritual techniques. Ask yourself, has this come "out of the blue" or was there perhaps some associated event before this experience?

Yep Tantra touches on this, "multi-orgasmic man" is a good read, actually if you delve further you can just think these thoughts and feel them, they are just thoughts.

Tantra's a great step to reach that point. I've gotten so well at this I can actually imagine someone touching me and feel it as if someone was touching me. Dreams make an excellent point to recall these emotions from, as they are already created from an imaginary experience so too speak. Not that I use these tools for pleasure, but it is nice to know I can create such strong emotional responses within myself. To counter any negative emotions that may occur. This way I don't need to diminish "taint" any old memories/emotions by associating them to counter new negative emotions, for my unconscious programming.
