I just had a 1 year aged Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout that was sublime. Definitely a contender. One of the best beers I've ever had is the Heady Topper from the Alchemist in Vermont. The Alchemist only makes one beer and it's a doosy. They only really sell it in Vermont, but it's pretty easy to get people to ship you some.

good call on the rite aid. i don't usually shop the pharmacy type stores, but many times they're a couple bucks cheaper than the grocers around here. there's a walgreens a couple blocks away i'll have to try on the way home from work. thanks for the reminder. the big hunan korean grocer also has beer a little cheaper than the big chains too. i'll drink there cheap korean beer called hite and at less than 10 bucks a half rack with tax, it's pretty good.

only if they spit on me and slash my tires in the parking lot while i'm inside.

Wow, I am shocked there is anyone who drinks an American beer that lives in Britain. How about Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout? Young's Double Chocolate Stout? Maaan you couldn't pay me to drink one of the mass brewed beers from this country. However, I've never met a craft brewed IPA from this country that I didn't like.

I like Corona. The original Corona made in Mexico for local consumption is the best though. It has a higher alcohal content that makes all the ingredients pop.
