A bit of sweetness/melasse in aroma, nutty at first, some roasted malt and some bread finally. A little dry aftertaste. . Last Edited by IWASTHERE on 11/05/2012 12:50 PM |

So that's like crap low shelf beer to you guys? Really? yes, to me and many it is. That's because we have many beers, and we all start out with Heineken. But as taste progresses we get to the better brands. What do you pay for a 24 ounce bottle of Heineken over there? |

Vermonster User ID: 16129333 United States 11/05/2012 03:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What do most of the beers in this thread have in common with having sex in a canoe? Quoting: Mango Positive They're both fucking close to water! Tip your waitstaff. I just had a 1 year aged Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout that was sublime. Definitely a contender. One of the best beers I've ever had is the Heady Topper from the Alchemist in Vermont. The Alchemist only makes one beer and it's a doosy. They only really sell it in Vermont, but it's pretty easy to get people to ship you some. I was going to post Heady Topper unless someone beat me to it. Two of those cans and you're out for the night - it's so delicious and piney and citrusy. Third highest-rated beer in the world on BeerAdvocate and I live less than 15 miles from the cannery. Love, love, love it. A local bar just got the Breakfast Stout - I homebrewed a similar coffee/chocolate/oatmeal stout a few years ago, so I'm curious to try it. Currently have a double red IPA in the carboy waiting to be bottled. Other beers I couldn't live without: - Bridgeport Hop Czar (neck-and-neck with Heady Topper) - Sixpoint Bengali Tiger and Resin - Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale, Old Chub, G'Knight, pretty much everything they make. - Odell Mercynary - Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat - Founders Backwoods Bastard - anything from 21st Amendment - Ska Brewing Modus Hoperandi Mmm.. beer. |
