The more recent Military personnel seem to be more concerned with the future "benefits" being dangled in front of their noses (benefits which, by the way, will be severely curtailed should Obama gain another term in office) and the fact that during a time of nationwide unemployment they are able to be fed, clothed, and earn a paycheck. One thing which I find very curious is the timing of this news item. WHY did they wait until the day before the election before publishing it? It comes really too late to influence the election, since half of the voters have already voted early or cast their absentee ballots. It seems to me that it would have made more of an impression if it had been published a week or two ago. Considering that these men's careers have been all about timing, knowing that timing can make all the difference between victory and defeat, it's almost like someone deliberately "dropped the ball" on this.
