According to the Maya time ceases to exist on our planet on Dec 21 2012

What that means to you and I are for our own interpretations of what they past down to us. Some say it is a new beginning but apparently the Mayans didn't think that a calendar was in order beyond this date.

I think the galactic alignment will cause massive destruction on our fragile little planet. Just look at how many large earthquakes we have had recently. As we get closer and closer to full alignment these will increase in size and frequency. Then on that date all hell is going to break loose.

I had no idea Sir Mix-A-Lot changed his name to Neil Degrasse Tyson and started doing 2012 stand up comedy gigs.
