That's why people were kicked out their homes. The government hates those that aren’t dependant on it as it makes it much harder to justify such an inflated existence. Are people allowed to leave the camps if they choose to? |

From what I've learned about hurricane shelters on the gulf coast, you can leave but they won't let you back in. However, there was a tv expose after Katrina showing a fenced in camp out in the boonies that was not allowing people to leave at all. Never saw a followup on that .
