I figure whoever I vote for I will be throwing my vote away so I may as well throw it to Johnson. Then at least I won't be ashamed. Quoting: strgzr This is my thinking. Can anyone confirm the rumors I'm hearing that if he gets over 5% of the vote he will get millions in federal election money for the next election?? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 27068761 United States 11/05/2012 01:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I would not just like hemp legalized but marijuana. Online poker would be huge as well as sports betting. I am sick of having to use overseas servers. However, I can't bring myself to vote for Gary Johnson or any other know-nothing extremist who wants to end the fed, have states print their own currencies, have PRIVATE corporations print their own currencies, and who wants to abandon NATO and global US military hegemony which allows the bretton woods system to continue and US dollar reserve currency status to be maintained. Frankly, I don't give a shit who you vote for, because someone with such insane ideas will never be president, and Obama is good president. Not great, but good. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 3376005 United States 11/05/2012 01:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As a fellow Libertarian, don't. Romney is a continuation of the perpetual decline of America. He represents everything the status-quo represents, and that is what is killing this nation. The status-quo needs to die and be replaced. The status-quo has failed. We need a fundamental restructuring of our political ideologies before any true progress can be made, and that will never happen with Democrats or Republicans in power. They're what is being used to keep the American people in the dark regarding how bad our government has been corrupted by corporatism. |

I truly wish to see Obama out of office, but cannot bring myself to vote for someone who my views do not align with. Anonymous Coward User ID: 26156669 United States 11/05/2012 01:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah, don't vote for Romney. That's the problem with politics today, everyone has been convinced there are only two choices which when it comes down to it, are pretty much the same shit with a different label. One jar of shit with a donkey. One jar of shit with an elephant. Maybe one smells a bit more than the other, but come on, are you actually going to eat shit? With either party, there is no accountability. They provide the illusion that they're always at each other's throats, but they continue to slowly erode our civil liberties, frisking us at airports major airports (but not at many small ones!), watching our every electronic move... they both send bombs overseas which have killed hundreds of thousands of innocents. They both support bailouts and the watering down of our currency. Meanwhile doing all kinds of favors for big business. Think Libertarians are the big business slaves? Think again. Look at corporate donations, and you'll see who the real slaves are. So tomorrow, OP, don't eat shit. |

Can anyone confirm the rumors I'm hearing that if he gets over 5% of the vote he will get millions in federal election money for the next election?? Yes, so next election, even though still only 2 parties have a chance of winning, the taxpayers will fund 3 parties and there will be a strong enough Libertarian candidate to throw the election to one side or the other, by dropping out at the last minute and endorsing one of the major party candidates. Hm, come to think of it, since I generally like Libertarian positions, that may not be a bad idea ... But no this election is very important, Romney may or may not be a great President, but Obama is clearly a terrible one, dangerous, and even ineligible. So I am voting for Romney. |

It doesn't matter who you vote for, the game is rigged in the easiest way possible, mainly that both canidates are on the same side. If Republicans "win"(the right wing of the demopublican party) then doom will be forestalled, just not for long. Romney will buy time. And a worthless vote for johnson might help Obamanation get back in, in which case we will go to hell on greased skids, as Ob ama finishes destroying the country he grew up hating so much. Of course the best route is to not vote at all, the new world odor looks to the vote to ligitimize their takeover of the planet, Romney in slow motion, Obama (a self professed employee of the UN) A RAPID DESCENT into a new worldwide dark age. Personally as a cow going to slaugter, I refuse the ultimate humiliation of picking my own executioner, just so the leftist looters can feel better about killing me You can ignore the consequences of your actions, but you cannot ignore the RESULTS of the consequences of your actions Ayn Rand |
