First of all, this is not a hurricane. Not even close. At best, it might be a Nor'easter. Second. It will probably completely miss NY and NJ. It 'might' graze Boston and points north. Might. [ link to text.www.weatheroffice.gc.ca] Animated model is bottom right. As you will see, there really is nothing to worry about here. (Assuming you have shelter of course). NWS does not follow that.... they are so close to Luis now and every update is getting worse not better. this is not by far a miss. 30 to 40 winds with 60mph gust will not fare well here or out on long island. they are saying there should be moderate to major flooding along the coast with a 6 to 7.5 surge added to 10 to 15' waves cold temp now have us with snow or rain freezing rain.all snow. who know how much. here is my source.
