Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21943549 Just one? How bad are yours? To have that strong reaction to soda or beer.... I didn't consider them bad until I learned to get rid of them. Now I consider them ALL bad. I mean... But it didn't take long to learn how bad those drinbks are for the body. Leaching all the things you need. The other thing is you could have some bad bacteria in your system. Just need a cleanout... |

But after drinking only water for a couple months, then drinking just one pop, I could notice the change. DISTILLED WATER! |

Probably the worst thing about it is the constipation. Besides that I guess I probably experience more pain than the average person when dropping a hard and wide piece of poop. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26919952 Anyone else here suffer from them too? Would like to hear your experiences. Look it up, but Apple Cider Vinegar on a cotton ball. Put directly on for 30-60 secs. Instant relief, problem solved in few days. Do some research, its something like that |

| ehecatl the listening wind... the invisible spirit User ID: 27071338 11/05/2012 07:58 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok I'm 52 and I've had a few bouts with hemorrhoids while living here in Mexico and have learned a lot of very useful information in the process. Hemorrhoids are no joke, they are anything from distracting to disabling. It is a sign of general dysfunction of the venous system throughout the body, and can be a precursor to all sorts of circulatory dysfunction or even strokes. When one has hemorrhoids it is because one does not have the proper diet to maintain healthy veins. I first went to a standard MD who prescribed one medicine, Daflon, which worked on two or three occasions over the next few years. But then here in Mexico Daflon is rather expensive and I am on a Mexican budget so I researched it a little more, and found out the primary ingredient is Hispederin, a primary ingredient in most citrus. Simply eating an orange or grapefruit or lemon or such citrus will work to keep the veins healthy and prevent hemorrhoids from reoccurring again. The last time I had a problem with this I visited the local Indian shaman whose family represents a lineage of knowledge of native Mexican healers. His prescription was simple, and immediately worked. Cut a lime into wedges and squeeze one onto the affected area after every shower and after you take a shit. Even stick the lime up your butt if that is where the hemorroids are. The shaman explained them as an infection that the lime cures. He might be right but I understand that it may not be an accurate description of what is occurring. It does not sting like one would expect, but the roids will immediately shrink and heal, better even than the more expensive Daflon (Daflon has stroke risk as a side effect). The shaman said that to maintain the process one should also drink mango leaf tea several times every week. Mango leaf tea is also a source of hispederin. Try this, I speak from experience and I don't call it a "miracle cure" it is simple, logical, comfortable and very confidential. After suffering most of my life I found the solution on a trip to Thailand in the form of the bathroom bidet sprayers they use there. It is the ultimate in simplicity = it allows you to clean without rubbing and irritating the sensitive skin. I got mine at [link to www.bathroomsprayers.com] and I have not had a problem since. It also helps with diarrhea and constipation by allowing you to use it as a quick and easy homemade colonic. People think nothing of using water in a shower to blast themselves clean or to brush their teeth. Well the same thing is true on the inside = it can help you get cleaned out without all the pushing that causes the hemorrhoids in the first place and then it helps make sure they don't ever come back! All in the privacy of your own home and no one need know what you use it for. At the very least you will find it can help you with constipation and better hygiene. | Anonymous Coward User ID: 27921992 11/26/2012 02:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Good thread. My hubby has alot of problems. I will look into the Bidet and the lime. Anyway, what has helped some is something FDA approved on Amazon called Anuice. It's a little thing you keep in the freezer and use it when it flares. Sometimes it's good enough to use one of those small soft ice packs, in a freezer bag that you can throw out, to treat externally. Hubby just tucks it against the protruding hemorroid. Sometimes warm water hand sprayer in shower helps. Other than that lots of PH wipes, pain relieving lotion, and suppositories. He has some stuff from the doc also that has cortizone (I think?). It can tend to dry them too much so he must use PH lotion at the same time. Other than that, drink a ton of water. Small hard poops are a sign of dehydration. |
| Mycelium User ID: 17882166 11/26/2012 02:48 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In my herbal practice, one very effective, but somewhat bizarre, remedy is to take some tobacco (bull durham is great for this since it comes in a muslin bag) and soak it in a little water. Put it in a muslin bag, or wrap in cheesecloth, and put it right on the hemorrhoids. It is astringent enough to shrink them some, and will do quite a bit for the pain as well. Often, these are the result of a backup in the portal system. Toxin filled blood backs up from the liver and can cause hemorrhoids as well as varicose veins in the upper thighs. It supports this theory that there is constipation as well. Based on that alone, if you were my client, OP, I would recommend an alterative (liver cleanser). Since I do not know your particulars, Scudder's Alterative, a formulation in wide use since the early 19th century, might be the best bet. It is available at most health food stores, and some variation of it at nearly every herb store. Follow directions on bottle, likely 30-40 drops, 4x per day, before eating. hope that helps |

First of all Igene : seems silly but always and I said always clean with water your anus , do not wait , that itching is caused also by bacteria and you must keep clean all the time. Second do no eat pasta , pizza , bread , this are making your bowels hard , always think what are you eating , food easy to expel equal less pain. Drink plenty of water try to reduce Alcool . When you have pain use or tea tree oil , or aloe vera ( the plant ) Don't know about surgery I don't trust doctors so I wuold never go to them , but in this case you got to do few exam just to exclude the worst .( are painful exams especially for ppl like us but it must be done ) It's a manageable pain if you do all the above . Good luck |

The old docs (like Sudder) called it "passive venous stasis.." For all I know, that term may describe something different now. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 2045712 11/26/2012 09:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had external haemorrhoids a few years ago. The pain became so constant and intense that my surgeon decided I'd need surgical intervention for them. They were well past the banding stage. Initially he was going to perform the tried and tested haemorrhoidectomy (cut & slash technique!) but I'd heard of a newer techniques called a stapled haemorrhoidectomy. Managed to convince him to use this method and instead of being in hospital for a week or more and being on the likes of Tramadol for a couple of months due to the pain I was out of hospital the day after and returned to work (medication free) a few days later. Having seen the surgeon subsequently he now uses the new version as his method of choice. Oh, and I've had no arse-grapes ever since! |
