I don't agree with you, OP, that Satanists are big time losers. More than likely Anton's eyes were fully opened briefly before he died. He most likely got the truth he so very long sought after in that moment of time. It was very obvious that truth was something he couldn't comprehend and panicked. That didn't save him nor his soul from the all consuming Corruption. As far as I'm concerned, Anton LaVey got what he deserved in the end... his soul was consumed by the living Corruption that he loved and adored.
