It's called our society! I warned and warned for years that we were going down the wrong path. No one listened. Now you can't go out without getting bombarded with peoples issues with their kids. I raised my children to be strong and independent. If they borrowed 5 bucks they had to pay it back. Banned fast food and most tv program's. I made them and their friends sit and watch documentaries about drugs and alcohol. My kids never resented me for it. I taught them both to cook at a young age and how to do handyman work. They are now adults and the most humanitarian and amazing kids you could meet. Never ever did I let society rule us and that's the problem today! My kids would help in a disaster without being asked and will feed anyone who comes to our door so I know I did a great job and without a man in my life as well. Neveryone needs to wake up and smell the dying flowers because my kids are the only people I know who we're interested in what happened in the US last week and both cried because they couldn't help.. Did not hear a peep from anyone else. An uncaring society is a dying one and it breaks our hearts but we can always do our bit.. I always repeated to my kids what the dalai lama said and that's.... If you think being small doesnt matter well spend a night with a mosquito.. Never truer words spoken. Be firm but be fair and you will get results.. |

No one wants to encourage kids anymore, you all get tarred with the same brush unfortunately. It's a sad world now but keep doing what you're doing. Any difference that you make that's good cannot be ignored... |

First of all, they elicit material needs in the young which they cannot satisfy, which not only leads to frustration, but to the desire to obtain dishonestly what they cannot obtain honestly. Then, by trying to convince them that they absolutely need these objects and activities in order to feel well and happy, they turn them away from the true search for happiness and the meaning of life. These people should not be surprised if one day they have to suffer from the criminal behaviour which they have helped to create and nurture." too true. the difference is this generation has leaders amongst us that will direct all that energy towards changing things for the better when the time is right |
