We had a cultural quest, a Mayan lady, that told some of her cultures stories. She matter-of-factly said the sun would eject a huge pulse of energy that would engulf the earth. I remember calculating what my age would be then. Much later my sister in law, who is Mayan, gave me talisman for protection which I still hold close. |

Could it be that whoever interpreted the calandar didn't have a clue and it snowballed out of control with knowitalls adding their two cents worth ? Fantasy or logic...hmmmm. Fact is, nobody knows and never will cause we weren't there to witness the intended meaning of the calandar. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. |
Éireann User ID: 26959187 United States 11/05/2012 07:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What makes the Mayan Calendar so significant is that it not only has a Lunar and Solar Calendar but an "Age" Calendar. Besides showing the observable cycles that take only one year, they were able to calculate a 5 age calendar that ended with the Sun rising parallel to the galactic center. Amazing. Completely amazing. But it's not a doom calendar. After the event the calendar simply starts over again at the first age - a time for replanting, rebuilding which is basically, I believe, a metaphor for "the beginning". I just don't think the world is going to end on 12/21/2012. It's a celestial event. A marvel in itself, but made even more amazing by an ancient people who were able to calculate an event that only happens once every 26k +/- years. This is what impresses me. Eireann~ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20 |

Their alot of plausible explanations for the energy/spiritual awakening "boost" along with the 3 days of darkness, but this all lacks evidence so im on the fence there. It will be the equinox and the beginning of the golden age. At this stage there will be lots of natural disasters, but not specifically on this day. Society will collapse globally and a new world will begin to emerge. I suspect we wont start seeing any dramatic changes for a few years. Things will be tuff for alot of people, and the people that change their perceptions will get by. The more people that "turn to love" so to speak the less collective catastrophe will happen. In my vision, at some stage time run out and everything just stopped, and went black. that's why im on the fence about the 3 days of darkness thing. THE CHANGE IS COMING!
