For decades there has been no gold to back the promissory note called currency, it's just an electronic money-go-round. To prove my point, here's a billion dollars:- I promise to pay the bearer the sum on demand of $1 Billion dollars Print this out, it's technically legal currency. Take it to a bank & deposit it, there is absolutely no difference between paper money & my promissory note. Get the bank to accept it, & in LAW, I technically owe you a billion dollars. You know what's hilarious about this? That you think I'm talking shit. |

How the hell does he plan to pay for these "Tax Breaks" "pay for??" WTF?? You speak as if the money belongs to the government rather than the people who earned it. PS. When JFK, Reagan and Bush lowered taxes, it INCREASED federal income tax revenues each time. That's how Romney 'pays for' it. When you people are allowed to keep more of their money, it creates more jobs which means more taxes are paid. |

Cost 81 billion. Food stamp, unemployment, etc. savings? 180,000,000,000. Net gain? 100 billion GAINED -- zero lost. Program pays for itself and government recovers additional $100 billion in savings. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 10600600 United States 11/05/2012 09:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Taxes are not money that the government has in a piggy bank that they give to people. Taxes are fees people must pay if they .... make a profit. So if today a small business profits $100,000 and has to pay a tax of 10% then they owe $10,000 to the IRS. Now if a small business grows and hires 10 more employees and profits $200,000 and instead of paying 10% ($20,000) they may only have to pay 8%.($16,000) Sure their tax rate lowered 10% to 8% but the amount they paid increased from $10,000 to $16,000. But their additional employees also got paid and had to pay income taxes. They new employees then went and bought themselves toys so they were also taxed with sales tax. The lower tax rate on the business let them hire more employees and the government recieved more money. The democrats only want to talk about tax rate as a percentage but the rate has nothing to do with the amount of money the government brings in as a total. That is why the democrats run deficits every year. |

Every President who has cut taxes to stimulate the economy has added TRILLIONS to the national debt. As a short term stimulus when the national debt is low, trickle down has its place. But now that it's become the only play in the Republicans' economic play book, it does nothing but add debt. Romney is more full of crap than a rural outhouse.
