Quoting: Dr. Astro I put several thousand rounds through a 9mm sub-gun (H&K MP5) It was accurate as all hell and fun to shoot with VERY little recoil. I imagine you're talking about the Hi Point? Here's the difference. A 9mm in a handgun or rifle can be stopped by body armour. You need ballistic plates (thick and heavy) to stop a real rifle round. Many of the "bad guys" in a SHTF scenario will be wearing body armour. Probably level 3a because it is common and inexpensive. Ballistic plates can get expensive for light plates and the wearer will be adding bulk, not likely fro the "bad guys". I'm tired of waiting, somebody push the damn button already! Please ignore the German flag, I am an American. |

Every gunner will agree that a Rifle round will out perform a pistol round any day.... He merely asked what the OP thought of the 9mm carbine. (And I butted in) :-) Who's to say he doesn't already have a number of rifles and was looking for a fun shooter with plentiful rounds? One of these days... You can vary the amount of paint that gets to the rifle and create some really cool effects or illusions of depth. Also, after painting, the kerlix doubles as nice ghille material for non flammables. Body armour is heavy, and believe it or not, most people DON'T have it. If rifle rounds are always better, explain how a .44 mag can drop a black bear with ease, but a 5.56 Nato is not legal for deer hunting. Quoting: Dr. Astro Well I like 9mm, and since it is very common it will be easy to find in any situation. This carbine is great. Where it really works is with smallish women like my wife (5'2" 100 pounds) With this rifle she can shot a good round with little recoil. 9mm handgun and rifle are not the same. The longer barrel will increase both accuracy and velocity of the round. I can get good hits out to 100+ yards. Ask your friend if he can do that with a pistol. That being said, this does not replace a "real" rifle. In a survival "prepping" situation which is what I do videos about, I would not reccommend this as your only long gun. If $$ is the issue the mosin nagant is hard to beat. If you can go up get the SKS, or AK, then if you have more money you can go AR or something like that. |

Because you get 1000yard shootouts? Show me one case of justified self defense at over 25 yards! |
